Tuned the 14 on E85 today..

Was hoping for a lil' more than 2 hp and 2 ft lbs of torque since I have a pipe and milled cylinder head, but oh well. Should be worth .05 and maybe 1 mph, but i'll find out this weekend at the dragstrip.

The gain seems low, I gain 6hp and 7 lbs trq afr 13.0 on the Dyno and 12.8 afr on track, gained 2-3 mph, ran 148 to 149 on pump gas

AFR's were at 13.2. I found out today that the fuel I was using is more along the lines of E70. Would that explain the lack of extra power it made? If so, I may try some E98. We don't have a true E85 station here worth a crap. Anyone else tried E98?

When we did Roys on my dyno the A/F ratio was very forgiving , rich or lean seemed to run pretty much the same HP numbers ..We were using E85 and not E70.. I think we picked up 6 HP with E85 Vs pump gas .. dyno testing was done 15 mins apart on the same dyno .. You might want to talk to Roy about this .. He may be able to shine some light on it for you ..

E70 vs E85, way different.

On E85, 13.2 is too lean. We make best power at around 11.9. Using the gasoline AFR)

Our power gains were equal to VP's MR9 and MR12.

E85 will make more hp than E70 and E98 will done even better than E85...I agree with Smokinzx14, changing the AFR doesn't effect it as much like other fuels, with E85 carrying 33% oxygen it has a wider window it will run in, but at the track it will fall off if it's too lean, I have ran as rich as 12.0 depending on the air, but no leaner than 12.8.
