fast way to drain radiator is to remove lower hose that connects to the water pump. if you dont know where the water pump is then it is on the lower left side of the bike. cant miss it. looks like a small cylinder with a black rubber hose connected to it. as far as water wetter, i never ran this. i would just follow instructions on the bottle unless someone chimes in that has used it before.

P.s have a good size pan to drain into. Once you disconnect hose the coolant will rush out

My suggestion would be to simply take the engine drain screw out and drain the entire coolant system, all while on the side stand. Screw can be found at the bottom of the water pump. Remove the rad cap and have a beer - get a large low container it shoots out pretty good at first......Then button it up, refill and away you go.
This is interesting, of all the stuff we tried nothing worked as well to control the engine heat like running a naked bike! Amazing how much cooler the 1270 ran with all that rad surface exposed and doing it's job.

i live in texas too. and yes the 14 runs hot. i filled my radiator with lp coolant. my bike runs a little cooler now. especially while on the expressway my bike runs about 169-172. i tried the drain bolt on the water pump but it drips only. and yes i did remove the radiator cap. seeing
that it has to go across the wheel in the water pump it will take time. the choice is yours colt... lol... what part of texas do you live in?

I have water wetter in mine and I didn't tell a difference.
Read the bottle COMPLETELY. If I remember correctly it says something about only lasting 6-12 months??

Engine Ice in mine, brought down the temp a bar or 2 on the dash LCD gauge. I make sure to swap it out every year, and I have to drain mine every year before winter sets in so it doesnt freeze sitting out in my unfinished/unheated garage ( Ohio winters can get chilly ). Engine Ice does make a bit of a difference in high ambient temps. Not sure what year 14 you ride, but 1st and 2nd gens have a ZX10 front fender conversion that allows quite a bit more airflow to the rad. There's also a 2nd fan mod that can help pull more air through the rad and keep the bike cooler. Wish Kawi would have put 2 fans on these things like the Connies have.
