throttle control
I was wondering with the new zx14r could you give it the half throttle mod? The old ziptie around the end of the throttle tube it worked great on my 03 zx9r. And has anyone shorten the throttle at all thanks for all the info you guys give

Someone knows about making this bike have half throttle I know. Some body has tried it right give me an idea are something

are you asking if we know how to make the throttle only turn 50% to keep the bike from going faster, or are you asking how to make the bike read 100% throttle when only turning the throttle 50%?

Since it worked so well on your zx9r, why don't you try it and let us now how you get on.
Then, perhaps you can tell us what you're on about???

100% throttle 50% open . Well I'm trying the mod out now only took 10mins . I've only rode it today in full power traction at 2 I weigh 240lb so ive been able to launch it a little better but not sure about a lot of difference. With the traction set at 2 will try it tomorrow with no traction on the cable doesn't rap around tube as 9r did so I'm not sure if I slowed it down are what. I wanted the mod because I put some bigger diameter grips on. So I got to get a hand full all the time because of grips some advice please no one wants to go slower with this bike that I've notice thanks if you can help

I have done a similar mod ... (increasing the diameter of the throttle tube as much as the cables will allow) and have found the rotation of the throttle grip is reduced by about 25 degrees.
It took a bit of fine tuning (with a small file) to get a cam profile that allows a smooth transition from idle to just on the power... but the end result is a very good quarter turn throttle for zero expense (almost ! ).
Only used the bike on the road as yet ( heading to the strip for the first time end of Sept), but much easier to get on full gas... so its got to be good !
I can explain in detail how the mod was performed if anyone wants..
