Best street tire
Well it's about time to retire the Metzlers... Any suggestions? Was thinking of Pilot Power 2CT's. Any feedback ? Recommendations?

I run pilot powers and have nothing but praise for them. I usally get 3~4k out of them. They stick well & I run them on both bikes. They definately improve the handling in the twisties. I've never run the 2ct's as I 've never lacked grip on the sides & they aren't harder in the middle just softer on the edges.

I had 2CT's on my last couple of bikes & they were really great... Was hoping something better came out I guess, just concerned about the extra HP the 14R packs.. Then again, "If it not broke, don't fix it".

The stock tires are pretty good, if I launch hard they break loose.... Granted I'm not doing a burnout but was hoping to find something with a bit more traction.

I have had good luck with both Pilot Road II's and Pirelli Angels which I had on my 07's. Great tires for the 14 with good wear. I was thinkin Pilot Road II or III's for my 2012 when the Metzlers expire.

I've always been a believer in the Michelin Power Pures thanks to their versatility. Power ones are great but kinda pricey. I've heard good things recently about the Dunlop Q2's as well. So it really comes down to preference.

Pilot Power 2 or 3's. Love the Michelins and I don't need the track tire stickiness on the road. Extra miles and wet weather advantages are a bonus.

Pilot Road 2 or 3's is what I meant. Great street tires. There are a bunch of good ones.

asking which tires are best is like asking which oil is best. All the top brands are good, just depends on the "feel" you like to get from a tire.
I can't stand Dunlops of any kind. Yet I know they are a good tire and stick, I just don't get the feedback I want from them. I currently run Michelin Pilot Road 2s, and use the bike for mostly two up sport touring. Plenty of stick and decent wear. Even have plenty of stick at the dragstrip too.
