plain mirror block off plates

I've searched but can't find any. Are there any black or CF mirror block off plates without any logos on them?

When I bought mine, I could not find any either. I'd suggest solid aluminum ones that you can mill off any logo or writing.

There was a guy that made plain ones out of steel for sell on eBay a couple years back. I got a set and they were ok. They were powder coated black and looked all right.. but they dug slightly into the bottom edge of the fairing under the mirror perch flange. I was able to clearance them a little so they would not do that anymore. Wow! lots of words for a part that you can't buy now. Anyway.. ditched them.

Took a set of busted OEM mirrors and cut them off at the stalk real close to the flange mounting part... then a buddy of mine milled them down as far as we dared to go without breaking thru the casting. They are actually pretty hollow up under there. They sit raised off the faring 5mm or so but I put a nice rounded edge on the point sides. The bolt holes for the studs are exposed.. but it looks kind of industrial cool IMO.. and since they were OEM mirrors to begin with, they fit perfect and use factory hardware. I only ever use the back nut so I can swap them for mirrors very fast on and after race days. Never had an issue with only one nut holding them on.

Crap! Just realized I spent a lot of time describing something you can't buy either. Ah.. maybe you can find a set of busted up OEM mirrors cheap?

The set I bought have ZX-14 etched into them but I think it would polish out quite easily, especially for anyone with access to a buff or similar power-tool.
