Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also would love to see some finished install pics of where folks mount those things on the bike.

Huh,most guys here are looking for more HP and you want 12 volt power?
Me too,LOL.
I used a Powerlet plug. Just installed it a few days ago matter of fact.
Installed my Shorai battery while I had it apart,Big weight loss and it can be felt.

Their stuff just plain works and installs no hassle.
I tried the BMW style plug on my ZZR12 but always had to use a cig. adapter to power everything, waste of money, imo.
Good Luck.

Clean install, looks factory. Like those adjuster but never really change my settings, it just makes it easier for people to screw with them.

:-) this forum has a lot of racers but you know a lot of them ride on the street too, take trips etc.
Oh that looks super sweet! Too bad though.. I have an '09. I looked at this little place there first thing and the one thing that I am afraid of (maybe different on 14R) is that once I turn the handlebar all the way it might interfere a bit depending on the plug. I'll lay it out tonight and see if my GPS plug (which is mainly what this is going to be for) is too big to fit like this. But props for the install man looks great!
I was actually thinking if worst comes worst I can always zip tie the dang thing in the front somewhere, like between the headlights. Prolly gonna be a bit of a pain to plug stuff in it but it will surely work for wide range of plugs.
Cheers!

mount that plug anywhere on the cover, if it doesn't fit like you want, make a small thin plastic backing thats round.

That looks great, but doesn't it hit the bar or lever on tight right turns?

Checked mine, it would be close but it wouldn't touch it.

ditch the cig lighter as a charger, unless you actually use it for a cig lighter and get one of these..its a usb charger and it comes with a mount...i havent found a place to mount it so it currently hangs off the accelerator cable loop directliy under neath the front brake reservoir.

Nope doesn't hit, close like Wheelie said, that's all ya need is a little space.
I put it where it's at for protection from the sun and rain.
Anybody that's traveled anywhere on a bike Knows it will rain.
I've used the same product on 2 different bikes, never any problems.
Water proof when not in use, quality components as assembled and they just plain work as I said before.
You can leave a cig.socket charger plugged in and running during a rain if it's not a deluge and you have a decent mounting area.
Not so sure about a USB type.
While that unit appears fine for functionality,it'll look like ass mounted on the bike IMO.
Use what you feel is right for you,Powerlet cig.socket for me.
