New best for my bike on motor with lighter rider
First off Ive been using a hand clutch since I started racing, well Shorty( Madness) wanted me to try his Gen 2 clutch so I installed it just as it was set up in his bike. I tried it at the track an it is bad ass. 1.34-1.36 short times right out the gate. I managed to run 8.65- 8.70 passes and felt that it was time to give the controls to Shorty. He is 32 lbs lighter than me and damn he was flyin.5.44@131mph at the 1/8th and 8.55@153 mph. I think its time to buy a gen2 soon and lose 20lbs

Awesome man, those are smoking times! It is amazing what a difference a light weight rider makes even when you are already running great times.

Great job. Great times. Is that 22 MPH out the end a typo or is that legit?

Ooops my bad, Only went 148 out the end. I made a few passes and went 152 mph earlier that night. It seemed to slow on the big end as the night progressed.

131 1/8th. 148 1/4. Motor going away or something? 131 is fantastic but coupled with 148 it seems like something is awry. With 131 1/8th I was actually thinking 163 could have been possible. Maybe I'm just thinking heavy bike/big power numbers though. Sorry. Not sure what to say.

To go 8.50 at only 148 would take WAY better than a 1.3x 60' also

My best pass for the night was 5.53@129 8.65@152mph. I was thinking something was going away as the temps cooled. But when Shorty ripped that 8.55 we just wrote it off. Ill look things over later this week

It happens ... I had a 1.33 60 footer with a 5.43 @ 130 in the 1/8 mile and only ran a 8.52 @ 154 .. I have no clue what caused it but it happened .. Most of my runs were in the 159 to 162 MPH zone that same night .. The 154 run didn't feel and different that the 160 MPH runs .. I was just a shocker to see that 154 MPH ticket .. Something in the clocks ? spinning on the top end ? Didn't get tucked in right ? clutch ? I have no clue ..
Nice riding Shorty !! That little man can ride for sure ...

I know my Auto shift was going 5-6 th right at the traps at 10,600 and went 152 mph off of a 126 8th mile.
I pulled the chip and went to the limiter through the traps and went 154.8.
Maybe the shift point at the traps?

Most 14s back half at least 26-32 mph depending on weight.
Even my tired assed 06 runs 114 - 142 all the time, in the Texas heat.

I think we have close to the same setup on my 08 I have a CNC 1414 with ported head, etc, sitting around 70 inches. My bike and I weigh 735 suited my best 1/8 mile pass off the gas is 5.74 @ 126 on the gas with a 54 shot is 5.58 @ 131 spinning the tire on the top end. 1.41 60 ft on or of the gas. Haven't been to a quarter mile track yet. I have a guy that rides it that 100 lbs lighter suited but he hasn't been able to get to the track since the new motor has been installed.

those numbers sound about right, 197 hp with ram air is what the computer says.
Some people will be saying, I think my bike makes that much horsepower, and I can't run any where close to that. bike weight and set up make a huge difference in drag racing.

His incrementals are pretty close to what we're running but we pick up more MPH out the end. That's why I expressed concern about his MPH's but not really any concern about the times. Times look great as far as I can tell. Good job riding the bike. Both of you.

I agree that there is nothing wrong with the times. I have a feeling the mph clocks are off or something of that nature. He had a 3.12 backhalf, which indicates WAY better than than a 22 mph backhalf.

Mine made 177hp on a Factory Pro dyno. Ive heard it about 12-15% less than a Dynojet. But who cares, the bike runs decent.

Chalk this up to one of the biggest understatements of the year. Since we're looking at the backhalf times I think our best one was a 3.22. Your times are strong. Something wrong with the MPH clocks or either you're chopping the throttle way early during the run as you can't run those times and have your MPH way off. At least I don't think you can anyhow. Again, great job with the bike.

Ok This problem started since Sacramento Raceway had NHRA recalibrate the clocks and sensors about a year ago, I believe the 1/8 mile is fine when it come to ETs and MPHs but the back hafl MPHs sensors are reading wrong but Like I tell people I dont care about mph as long my ET is good
