Zero to Hero on SPEED TV - Prime Time this week – Support Kaw and Rickey G! Hey everyone,
Please support Kawasaki every chance you get for showcasing SPORTBIKE DRAG RACING to the world! 'LIKE' their Kawasaki USA Facebook page, leave comments on the Kawasaki and Speed TV websites, tell them Thank You and let them know we love what they are doing.
FYI: There will not be times shown on Speed TV. The series will be shown as nine 2.5 minute mini shows during commercial breaks throughout regular programming starting at 8 PM. After airing, they will be re-broadcast on the Kawasaki web site. Later in the summer, Fuel TV will run a program dedicated to the Zero to Hero Challenge with more details etc.

Brock is right!
Its getting increasingly harder to get on TV these days and Kawasaki spent a SUBSTANTIAL amount just to give away a motorcycle which they could have raffled off if they just wanted to make some money on it.
Instead they not only marketed the promotion throughout the IMS over the winter but we've been on national TV promoting the competition everywhere and then they picked the most expensive racetrack to rent in the country just to give the contestants that "Hollywood" feel.
They flew contestant and their guest in and put them all up at the most futuristic hotel in Vegas with remote control curtins along with temperature control from the TV. They arrived at the track and got the total Factory rider experience with Semi truck and all.
Speed & Strength supplied each contestant with full body protection, and no expense was spared.
Please.....as Brock said, take time out and show Kawasaki your appreciation to hopefully continue their involvement in the drag racing world before they move on to something else!

This vid goes all the way back to September of 2011 in Vegas, which is when this idea came about. They told me about 2 minutes before they ask me to do this commercial.

In May of this year, Kawasaki gave four lucky fans the opportunity to race 9-time AMA drag racing champion Rickey Gadson for a chance to take home a 2012 Ninja® ZX™-14R. The four finalists faced off against each other for the chance to race the champion on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway drag strip.
Find out who took home the Ninja® ZX™-14R prize and proved that they could go from "Zero to Hero" on SPEED and FUEL TV. SPEED TV will airing the series of nine 2.5 minute episodes throughout the week of August 13 (Monday - Friday) during commercial breaks. The videos will also be posted to Kawasaki.com, following the SPEED TV air dates. Encore presentations will also air on FUEL TV.

Part 1 came on at 8pm
Part 2 at 9pm
and part 3 airs at 10pm tonight
Then tomorrow part 4 and so on....

At Phil.....guess you have to keep watching tonight (Tuesday 8/14) as the saga continues on Speed TV during the
7:30 programming of "Pass Time" show
9:00 programming of "101 cars"
10:00.............Barret Jackson Auction
this will be 3 different segments of Zero To Hero which will air in 2.5 min segments during the commercial break.
I know 2.5 min segments is just a tease but you will be able to log onto http://ninja14r.kawasaki.com/#challenge/videos/29 and see additional footage from that segment of the show.
Everyday more behind the scenes footage will be added to Kawasaki's site for you to see more.
