Todays Drag Race

Still in the 100's here in Dallas, made 3 passes before rain got close. I'm still rusty with my launches, haven't been racing much, 12 lbs of air in the 008 slick, terrible da i'm sure. Leaving at 7500 rpm, 17-51 gearing, almost 230 pounds with gear on hehe

Doesn't look too shabby to me. That's about how the NA 14 runs in the heat with Dave riding and he's lighter than you are.

"Rusty" I guess I should have said I felt like I could have done better, I need to get the bike to move faster in the first 5ft. Felt like I was hesitating to get aggressive with the clutch, still a good 60ft but 4-5 100th's of a second doesn't sound like much but it is to me. Bettering the 60ft that much will show on the time clocks, remember this is on a 100 degree + day, the track hooked great, da was 3767ft. 5.60's in the hottest part of a Texas summer is impressive on a stock motored bike with a 225 pound rider, cooler weather is coming soon, but bow season starts 9-29-12, I do get three weeks of vacation effective 9-21-12 so I will be able to get some cold air runs in when it's prime, my boss lets me take off when and how long I want, wished I could get down to 195 pounds...

Sounds pretty good. I remember sweating a lot in bow season by Fort Hood a few years back.

I left right before it got there, just a few drops of rain when leaving, I could see it coming so I headed back to Dallas, not a drop at my house.
