Clifford, i do like allot about your project, the paint color is kinda growing on me, bags are cool just the size is overboard, dash goodies a plus, duel pipes look best on short wheelbase, turn signals elimanated neat, bst's the best, i like the natural look on them, but custom painted are ok, trying for top speed thats stuff I like, just some of my opinions which dont matter maybe its just me but the thread just seems like you think nobody has ever done this to a zx14, I hope you can get 200+ mph out of it. Waiting for the mc show display pics....

I'm sure your rendition was a show stopper Wee, sadly the only thing you were missing was $60K in factory sponsorship from the industry's best...........Once again a special thanks to the management at Bikeland.org for kindly allowing me the privilege of using this site as a promotional springboard. The project was sold out as a result of our activities here.
Enjoy the holidays,

FYI - A winner is often distinguished by the attention to final detail. Note the black out on all frame and fairing fasteners. Awaiting my kit to do the engine cover bolts in black tomorrow.

Yeah its a hit, look at the 16 pages, you post 90% of the total post, btw a zx14 is not a tour bike, a goldwing is so you will not have the fastest touring bike in the world, lol. Original concept? What a joke, you have a zx14 with huge saddlbags, call it what it is,
wee
quote: Suspicous as in nobody here is what cliff is looking for, groupies? lol bikeland members are their on men, straight up, no followers, giving props when they are due, maybe this thread would have been more of a hit on another site, or maybe it would have been a hit here if it was presented in a different tone, it does seem like its a "please look at me" story. Just sayin
wee

Dude, jacking "every" thread is getting annoying, you make it clear you are not happy with any zx14, Bikeland has a Smackhouse, bashing, hating, name calling is welcome there, this is a zx14 technical and conversation forum, Fish has said this many times.
Please just give us a break in the zx14 forum, you have good knowledge that helps many with a zx14, Concourse, or Booza, and you have helped many times, Thank you for doing that, Dude we can joke around a bit but it's getting to a point where you are controlling zx14.com with nothing but hate. Please ease up here and feel free to go wild in the Smackhouse...

Welcome to the big league Lee.......The milling and fab time alone to have the KTM GP team in Itay stop what they were doing - design, fabricate and weld my Ti EGT mounts this week from billet Ti, cost at least 5K...... Just start adding up some of these aftermarket parts and the bike (courtesy of Kawasaki Canada) forget the time spent making everything fit perfectly - it's a deal at 60K!

Wow...I have Ti EGT mounts for use on a Brock's TiWinder. Custom made for use with my Innovate TC-4. The cost was around $100 or so, with a few sets made.
Let me say again, nice bike. But let's also stay in reality here.

No, what I'm saying is this, it's priceless. You couldn't buy the time from the KTM factory in Italy unless you were good enough to get their folks excited in a terrific 2013 Muzzy Kawasaki ZX-14ht hyper touring project, worthy of their stamp..........It's the attention to detail and the 'microscopic' finish work in this bike, that makes it stand out as pro-class material. It's also where all the money goes.
I'm off to an X-mas party, get a drink, we'll argue later.

I'm not arguing with you, Cliff. You have an agenda to market this machine, and an obligation to Muzzy...obviously. But please do not try to tell the people of Bikeland that a $5k set of EGT bungs brings credibility to your project. It is insulting.

Shane, call KTM in Italy and ask them what they'd charge you to stop what they're doing and build you a set of Ti mounts and weld them into your thin walled Ti header.......Kids I'm not joking when I say this - If you've never built a bike to this level, no disrespect, but you have no idea what the real costs are, it's simply crazy....Off to a party!

EGTs go in the header pipe just off the engine block connection....Sorry, the pic I attached was from one of my 2 stroke Y pipes, same mount design. Should be pretty cool to monitor the engine temp with these Koso units on the dash.
Cliff
Lee......Next time I'm in Tampa (March I hope) I'll come over to the shop.

It's not my cup of tea, but if I had $18,000 I would have spent it differently.
That's about what it would cost to buy and build that bike.
Maybe $18,500.
