Naked ZX14R I just wanted to post some photos of my daily ride. 2012 14R, with a few hand-made parts. The bike was purchased from an auction, totaled. So the look is as much about financial costs, as it is about attempting to make, a "Z1400". The air intakes were a coincidence, that Kawasaki have decided to pay homage, to their parent logo on the H2 Ninja. I hope I don't piss off you purists out there!

99.99999% of all naked bikes are totaled bikes sold at auction that people buy before the realize how much the body panels cost to replace so they get this great idea of a naked bike.. When it's really just a totaled POS that someone can't afford to replace the plastic on... I see people driving wrecked cars all the time although they seldom call them NAKED Cars they're just wrecks.. Same as this 14R just another unfixed wreck that's now known as naked..

Broken link?
Also, while that definitely does happen Gunner... it is the reason I initially went naked... i suspect the numbers are much more even than you suggest. There are clearly alot of people that like the look. Consider people buying factory street fighters. Also, i could easily afford to put plastics back on my 12 but I rather like it as it is now. And i've probably spent more on getting the thing to where it is than I would have to fix it up showroom. But like I said, it did start off much as you suggested.

Looks nice. Really nicely put together. But be awere that thos crashbobbins don't shield anything they will just brake your valvegear if you fall...
