"We'll try the bags and have some fun........I'd enjoy meeting you at the Show."
Hey - I hope your not refering to the Gay Pride Parade you eluded to earlier? Just kidding Cliff - I think your project is awesome, can't wait to see it all finished. If it turns out like your other bikes it should be a show stopper, all the best Rob

do you really think this is appropriate???
seems most folks recognize that Cliff's "build" thread is not a Shane-level development thread.
Rather its a quirky, low-tech, product showcase, "look at me" thread that is interesting to many folks.

quote: Nailed it!! That’s the look I wanted…..Mark at FireBall Performance Coatings in Erin Ontario took Muzzy’s Ti pipes and applied his proprietary US military ‘ceramic’ coating which when combined with the CF cans, is perfect.......How about those gold logos by House of Kolor - unreal.
Cliff

Cliff pipes look great, I did something similar to my Brocks CT system. I Love the look of the Ceramic Coating.

Absolutely beautiful............Guys let's not get too shook about the way folks act on this thread, I'm sure if we could spend an afternoon together at my place with drinks and a few cigars, things would be different - we all share the same passion for cool stuff, it's a bonding thing. Often people's reactions are as a result of other circumstances going on in their lives, good or bad - we wish the best for everyone......On that note I'm more worried about Darwin the monkey not being sprung for X-mas, damn Judge!
All the best,
Cliff

I just watched a you tube of a 1400 GTR doing 290 KLMs (fatter bags than Cliffs) - he might be on to something - 322 KLMs (just over 200mph) could be achievable as he will have way more power and gearing. Who knew?

A bit of trivia - if you are planning on using a radar gun to clock your top speed.
Years ago I had the pleasure to intern with world renowned Sri Lankan chemist Dr. Gunatilaka who (among many other significant contirbutions to science) helped develop stealth coating technology. Besides a special priority radar absorbing material, a reflective glass that interfers (alters) micro wave spectum reflection is used. This is made by Engelhard chemical (called firemist) and it is also color coated and used in custom painting - known as ice pearl - as it has intense sparkle in the sunlight spectrum. Rob

Pretty damn close to what I envisioned a yr ago. Waiting on the EGT/header piece from KTM then I'm done.
I hope you enjoyed the process............. I'll send some pics from the Show on Jan 4th-6th, then we'll tune it online in May/June and go for 200mph+ in July.

Wow - bike looks tough! I really like where you cleaned up the sides, getting rid of the indicators and mirrors on the upper - looks very sleek. Gold really stand outs - love it

Thanks Beav..........Imagine this thing pulling up on your wing tip while your out enjoying an open HWY tour ......You'd get a quick glance at the bodywork, a righteous nod from the pilot - then its gone!

Suspicous as in nobody here is what cliff is looking for, groupies? lol bikeland members are their on men, straight up, no followers, giving props when they are due, maybe this thread would have been more of a hit on another site, or maybe it would have been a hit here if it was presented in a different tone, it does seem like its a "please look at me" story. Just sayin

I'd say 25,000 hits in 3 months period is a pretty good barometer on success here at BikeLand you Grinch!!
Face it Wee Wee, the original concept and the final product are bang on spec, stunning to see and a huge win for all involved, period.

Yeah its a hit, look at the 16 pages, you post 90% of the total post, btw a zx14 is not a tour bike, a goldwing is so you will not have the fastest touring bike in the world, lol. Original concept? What a joke, you have a zx14 with huge saddlbags, call it what it is,

It is original I have never seen one like it Cliff awesome finished product, Wee is upset because his bike is the same as everyone else's on this forum all of these "forum junkies" have the same exact bike as each other...they are super original...even with the green accents wee put on his "angus" or whatever he calls it and his ideas with adding more green accents have already been done as demonstrated by the photos in his thread so that guy has no clue about originality don't take it to heart Cliff

I give you props building it and being different .. As far as LSR i would i would hear these guys out , they know what it takes to go 200 .. You can learn a lot from these guys and save yourself some trouble and cost ..
