Sorry for the duplicate pic above, but Brian at Tricked Toys is a movie star and he wanted royalties to be in this thread, dusted him!........Couple of spy pics from Tricked Toys where last night we finally (after many late nights) finished up all the frame milling, line changing, metal/plastic cutting, bracket modifying, drilling, hack sawing, powder coating etc. etc. to condense a 6 month build into 6 weeks. The shop corner has a 70lbs cardboard box of ZX14 parts going out to the garbage.
The ‘final fit’ of our ‘bag mounted’ stealthy Muzzy n2o system is incredibly sexy and slick (frankly it’s artwork) it’s also completely undetectable to any anyone unfamiliar with this bike…..Last piece of the puzzle is on its way home – our ceramic coated Muzzy Ti/CF exhaust, part of which is in Italy with Giorgio’s team at UPR Inc., where they are milling Ti EGT mounts and welding them into the Ti header (had to wait on a big KTM frame job to get done before we could jump in) and the rest is with Mark at Fireball Performance Coatings in Erin Ont., where he has hit the Ti and the aluminum end caps with black satin ceramic.
I’m not kidding when I say that once complete, this bike will be frightenly cool and one of the most ominous rides the general public has ever seen - especially when I roll up in me a matching IM Leathers suit, Sidi boots and Arai helmet . I suspect I’ll maintain my Ontario drivers licence for about 2-3 hr tops!
The bike will now come back to my shop where we’ll work on all the electrics and finish details etc and get her ready for the Jan International SuperShow. Power wise we’ll make a good solid 200 on the motor with a 50 shot in reserve (with a valve spring change I might kick it up to 100hp) my design plan is to wire up a program that automatically gives me the juice, +50hp (and a richer overlay Dynojet map) at WOT in 4th 5th and 6th gears only. Below that this monster would be uncontrollable, unless we stretched the frame, which I don’t like.……Bike sits geared at 17/38 (Vortex 40 tooth standing by) with an abbreviated 11K red-line thanks to Don at Guhl Motors. Capable of producing a 225mph max top speed at Mirabel, (Sandy II tailwind) I’m more inclined to think about 210 - however I’m convinced I’ll blow thru 200mph and if I’m wrong, I’ll ride this %$#@& bike naked down Yonge St at the next Gay Pride parade in Toronto, with Wheelie on the back!

Nice project...but it is no LSR bike.

That would be Single Lens Reflex

but I think the LSR Shane was referring to would be Land Speed Racing !

Certainly can't see those giant cases doing 200 mph...

You should call some of the magazines to run your build. Personally its just not that fabulous anymore. Let somebody else comment other than yourself.

Tough crowd!! Landspeed record for a touring bike? Shouldn't take too much, besides Wheelie and I need the bonding time together.......... Let me finish it first then we'll do a Q&A on the final look. If that doesn't make you horny, I'll see if I can excite you guys (is that possible) with our 'progressive' tuning processes.

Should easily do 200 + between fill ups , mine does anyway although that's without the dubious aerodynamics of the colossal bags !

Given the aero penalty I would suggest making an n/a pass before you go ripping it on spray. Weird things can happen on top speed runs as it is...throw in 2 big old bags back there and you're adding yet another variable.

As for 225 mph....I can't "see it"....but certainly 224 all day.

Guys relax..........This bike is another fun show bike that will probably never reach its potential. Like most of my projects, it's different and totally friggin cool. That's what makes it so unique and why I love them so much - don't fight it baby embrace the precious'!

Cliff. Is this some sort of Mayan - end of the Earth - on the 21st thing....? Going for broke?

I'm sure we all like to hear about your build etc, but maybe you need to tone the "It's all about me", feel...

I thought the US of A was going through the Fiscal Cliff - maybe not the financial one!

Your build looks great. Can't wait to see to the final product. But keep it technical and to the point.
Don't get roped in by comments of "gimme more, you're the best, can't wait...".

Most posters are pretty experinced guys and gals who have spent LOTS of $ on doing similar projects well before your time...

I'm sure we would all like to hear how you progress, it looks like a great bike in the making.

Cliff, the Nitrous Oxide bottle is in the side case and I agree with the other comment, I doubt the bike would crack 200 with those wide cases on. You're going to remove them for the top speed runs aren't you? Or will it ever run? There could be stability problems too.

Cliff, since the "older" generation has spoken, I will cover the "younger" (25) generation. That bike is bad ass. You should be jacked about this build/bike. You've put lots of time and money in it. While reading your thread I have not thought one time that you were flaunting your money etc. Your actually giving stuff away for free! I've never had the opportunity for such an elaborate build or to see one happen from start to finish but it is very informative and fun to watch happen. I just think there are several big ego's on this forum whom get a little jealous of what you are doing/able to do on this build. Just my 2c. Keep up the good work!

Thanks brother and greatly appreciated.........Look, we all know what’s really going on here, this is a world class build evidenced by our corporate support, they ain't stupid. That said, everybody here just got a free semester in Marketing 101 - how do you sell a bike concept in a recession, when even Superbike teams are struggling and get an overwhelming 60K in support? Simple - Balls baby, big balls........ Now stick around and watch me design some of the most innovative tuning techniques yet to be seen on a 14.......Class dismissed.

Spent the day setting up the fabulous Dynojet PC5, Ignition Module, Auto Tune and Wideband screen - unreal equipment. Tomorrow I'll wire up the Muzzy n2o trigger so that when I hit WOT in 4th, 5th and 6th gear, I get 50 more hp and a richer map - in time it'll be 100 more horse power.
Ask me if I'm having fun!!!!

Lines are not that bad from an aerodynamic stand point - plus an additional 50 hp helps. This bike will blow thru 200mph guarenteed!!

Seriously, I absolutely love this bike - I'm obsessssed with it ....The tech crew from Dynojet assigned to this project have been nothing short of amazing, also they love the challenge of something new. I tell them what I want , thay make it happen.
Tremendous customer support.........FYI - After the bike show in Jan I might take the motor out and get Dan at Champion to beef up the valve springs etc., a 50 shot is just to tame on a motor like this, I want 100!

Don't take my previous comment as criticism, I have some experience riding big sports bikes at speed with panniers and they are inherently unstable, speed wobble can occur at anything much over 140 and I was voicing my concern. As a design exercise what you're showing us Cliff is great.
