Back on topic people, where did the big numbers go for the 14r

Lately coming on this forum its looks like ganstaland.org,lets get back to biking. I came on here everyday in the spring looking for the new big number for the 14r,but all of a sudden it stopped.yes I know the heat you have down has alot to do with it,but the bike was early in the development. Somebody must have figured something out to compensate for the heat.or has the heat won there will be no fast numbers till fall.

Gadson just put down a big number last weekend but the heat this Summer has been keeping a lot of people from even going to the track. It's realistically going to be Fall before you see anyone put down better numbers than Lee has. Not saying it can't happen but the guys with a shot at it probably won't be at a track with the air temp above 100 degrees.

A few weeks back i ran my best ET 8.47 , temps in the low 90s .. I have a few new tricks to try but it will be a few weeks before i get back to the track ... First i have to iron out my shifter problems .. It"s just to damn hot for me to stand around in leathers waiting hours it get one pass ... It's going to be a long hot summer guys ...

I'm just as unhappy as you guys are that no one is out running any great numbers on the zx14r ..It's just to damn hot for most guys to go to the track .. But the heat that keeps the zx14 running slow numbers also slows down the other brand bikes .. Hell they have to run in the same crappy air we are running in ..

I asked Ricky G the same question as you did .. where are all this new zx14rs and why is nobody talking about it ... He told me nobody has taking the level of the ZX14R to the Max like i have done ..Wee myself and a few others have but most have not .. Some have posted their numbers and other will not because they grudge race and don't give out numbers ..There are many that just bracket race the bike or just run an index class ...Not really what people talk about .. Not all racers post on Bikeland or even know what bikeland is ...

I will be home in about three weeks. I will post some numbers.... the heat is not a problem for me, since it's been averaging about 108 to 113 during the day and about 100 at night...

I am looking forward to trying my stock wheel base 14 out and the 62 inch bike w/BST mounted. When I was home it was hard to keep the tire planted (hook up) on the street.....

wow I thought I'd never hear a guy talk about an 8.47 like it aint sh@t. Thats a great number for anyone and no its not going to be that easy for someone to out do it.
I don't care if it was in the heat cold or rain or snow 8.47 is going to be tuff to beat.

someone said on another site, that JT ran 8.81 stock wheelbase. That's a number a couple years a go I would not have believed. I have nothing on how the bike was set up, except it was stock wheelbase.

8.47 is an awesome number, I would love to able to run that. Just saying it seemed everyweek there was a new big number, then it stopped. Thought by now somebody with a little shot of nitrous would have run7.99 or something close.

When you're saying BIG NUMBER are you talking about HP, 1/4 ets or top speed MPH?

I have limited seat time on the new one but my best stock motor n/a pass on a 12 has been almost identical (195.6 mph vs 195.4 or something) to the new 14R.

Both had the basics meaning a pipe, stock wheels, power commander, slightly regeared, pump gas, stock ride height, no mirrors.

However the 14R was being ridden in horrible headwinds and crosswinds, the 12R had a light headwind but good air.

Distances between the 2 had the 12R with about 1/10 more distance (1 mile vs 1.1). At the end fo the day it was enough for me to realize the 14R's potential right there.

Seeing that you numbers are better than alot of turbo numbers I'd be happy too.
I don't think with the heat number were looking at this summer we will see much better than yours unless you get lucky and better them yourself. as you can see brock is trying he's found another small guy to run his bike .

Go to Oklahoma and watch out for a black one. N/T is the game and like smokin said.

These guys are all grudge and this 14R is too. There are some out there- already.
