Kinda scary....
Hey everyone,
I'm about to buy an exhaust overseas, from Ti Force, direct from their Japan warehouse.
I really just wanted to know if anyone has ever done business direct from them.
I've been in e-mail contact with a fellow named Tomoko, (guy found the carbon cans I had been searching for forever) and everything is ready, paypal invoice ready to be settled.
It's just kinda hard handing over $1,350.00 to some dood overseas, and hoping that I get my stuff. ya know?
I'm probably overthinking this, but I've been helped out by the knowledgeable crowd that gathers here before, and I was checking to see if you fellas had anything to add.
I'm paying with an Amex card (lessens my worries a bit), and the transaction is paypal, like I had said earlier.

I bought my 07 ZX-14 chineese farings direct from oversea's. Granted it was only a little over $600 dollars I was still nervous. I too used PayPal and 3 weeks later the showed up no problem.

I hate to say this, but as one who has been overseas for a long time, you've got a better chance of getting shafted from someone in the states

I hear ya.
I'm probably just worrying too much, but I thought it best to bring it to the forum, maybe someone would chime in with a Ti Force success story, (or preventive horror story).
I contacted them through this:
"TiForce Japan Co., Ltd.
sales@tiforce.com"
on their official website, so that ought to be on the up and up.
Side note: I swear my stomach has started to hurt since pondering this thing.
lol

Just use your CC to make the purchase... then you can make a claim with your CC issuer if you get shafted. CC companies reverse charges all the time and often with no more than your word and say so. You can still use PP.. just make sure the funding source is your CC.. and by CC I mean a real CC not a debit card or a PP issued CC card.

Always take the option in PayPal to use your credit card as the primary AND backup payment source. If you file a claim with PayPal THEY decide the outcome, if the outcome is not in your favor.... Then file a claim with your CC company who will usually support you, PayPal is mediocre to deal with on claims.... They usually take too long and out of about 10 PayPal claims as an eBay buyer they found 3 in my favor, I disputed the rest with my CC company and always got my money back.... Usually after my CC company refunds the money, PayPal wants to review the case..... That's when I tell them to fuck off and talk to my CC company.

Many thanks for the replies fellas.
I received an e-mail from Tomoko last night, reassuring me that everything is good to go.
Nice guy. And I commend his patience with me so far. lol
I just came back from my bank, and they pretty much said what Seno said. They'll definatley help me out in getting me money back in case my item never ships, or if I get scammed.
So good stuff all around.
So.......here goes nuthin... .....(cept a lot of $,$$$.$$) lol
Bout to place said order.
