Rear Sprocket Bolt Pattern (525 conversion)

Looking to convert to a 525 setup on my '08 zx14, but can't find any 525 kits or sprockets listed for it. I would like to use an OEM black sprocket if possible (i.e. one from a 2004-05 zx10), but don't know what bikes share the same sprocket bolt pattern with the 14. Any ideas?

I'd stick with the 530. There's prolly a reason you can't find any 525 kits or sprockets for the 14

What?! Why are you doing this? To save 1/2lb?
Some things you can cut corners, some thIngs you can't...

Yeah, probably not a good idea to get a smaller chain

As far as the chain is concerned, I have no worries since the D.I.D ZVM series 525 has identical specs (tensile strength) as the 530 series. If you were going with an aluminum sprocket, you would probably see increased wear with a 525 vs. 530 sprocket, but I am going with an OEM steel sprocket and don't drag race so I don't think that would be a concern.

I'm not doing it to save weight....just like the looks of a lot of the OEM black sprockets in the 525 pitch (i.e. ZX10). Unless you guys know of a factory 530 sprocket that would work that comes in black? I know Vortex, etc. make aftermarket sprockets that are black but I just don't like the looks of them as much as stock ones.

So your doing all this conversion because you like the looks of a stock zx10 rear sprocket?

Yeah pretty much.....just want a nice looking, black, rear sprocket and I haven't found one yet that looks better than the OEM Kawasaki ones. Sunstar made the OEM zx10 one, but the one listed on sunstar's website for the '14 is in aluminum finish.

Don't even know if the zx10 would work anyway.
