New to racing, setup help and info?
After having my friends always racing my bike I decided to start doing it myself so 2 weeks ago I went to a test n tune at my local track to try and learn. I was nervous figuring I would mess it up pretty bad with everyone watching lol but my first pass was a 9.80, 2nd was a 9.57, 3rd 9.41 and 4th a 9.33, last pass was a 9.59 spun the tire pretty bad, best 60ft was 1.57. It was pretty miserable out with temps around 85 average. So I went out to the test n tune this week and temps were around 90, first pass was a 9.24, 2nd 9.26, 3rd 9.22, 4th and 5th were wasted because I kept blowing the tire off at the line, my 60ft on the good passes were 1.51-1.53. The bike is a 08zx14 stretched to 69 1/2 with power one tires, I'm 215 suited, and my gearing is -1,2+ with a stock shock. I would like to get the 60ft into the 1.3s and I know I just need to practice and not expect to much but is there anything I can do to help this along? I had my tire pressure at 14psi, will a drag shock help me enough to warrant buying one?

If the track isn't prepped good nothing will help. You have allot of street cars racing?
