Own zx14 brother hating on new bike??
Was out for a ride yesterday and on the way back stopped by the dyno to see how they were doing,well when i pull up a guy was there with his 2011 14 on the dyno and i'm thinking cool have to check this out. Well right away the guy see's my green 14 pull up and he knows it's the newer one and i say hi to him. Well the dyno guy says to the other guy that i was the new 14 he was just talking about[highest horsepower bike on his dyno] well the guy right away looks at my bike and says ohhh thank god i didn't get the new one i cant stand the look of them???? I say wtf are you talkin about,and he says the new fins are way to wide????? Anyway he told me 4 friggin times how he can't stand my new bike and i just strug him off and after the last time i told him to watch his dyno run. Well after 2 pulls at 165hp he finaly nugged a 167hp on the 3rd pull. By the way he had over 4500 miles on his bike and when i dynoed mine it had 600 miles not even broken in yet,well the dyno guy showed him my chart compared to his,my 201hp,and my tq at 117 vs. his 101,and i said i'll take my ugly fins anyday. I just thought he was kind of a dick for the statements.

Imo, the new bike looks better than the old...but I really like the Gen 1 too. One thing I have found is that it is often more acceptable to take shots at a guys woman than it is to put his bike down.

kaw rick i got a 89 and love it, but love my 14 better. as far as shit talking my bike id probly drag u out back and teach u a thing or two. but assholes talk smack when they know there beat.

If he only made 167 to the tire after fiddling with it, he's going to be hating on a lot more bikes than yours GJ. He's got dyno envy.

Yeah, you're right. I forgot about the happy dyno syndrome where I got mine dyno'd. My bad. Stock gen 1 14's with a pipe and power commander make 200 to the tire on MR12 where I went. That's my reference point.

gixxer john.. hope you don't mind me asking how much it cost to dyno your bike?? didn't you just did one recently?? is it for free??

No, not trying to call you out at all because you don't race. I didn't know you don't race. I've read about you racing your bike so I naturally assumed you had raced it at a track at one point or another. I actually have raced my 14 myself a few times. I run 7.0's on the bike @ 112. I'm sure I can run quicker with more seat time but I don't have a leather suit. Hell, it'd take a whole herd of cows to get enough leather to make one my size. Why is it that my ignorance shines through once again when I simply asked you a question about what you ran at the tracK?. And calling me a "Fat Fuck" on another forum right off the bat was so far beyond uncalled for that it just cannot ever be explained away. You really would benefit from some professional help. That's not a dig at you or anything. It's simply reality. Have a good one.
