Bad Pass But Good Enough.
After Breaking out in the simifinals of the bracket race by .004, I received a $400 grudge race offer from a guy on a well set-up 08 busa. He also was about 100lbs lighter. My nitrous bottle pressure was low by 150 psi and it ran out just after the 330'. I got lucky.

Looked like a decent pass considering you ran out of N20. BTW, you ride the crap out of that thing. I'll bet a lot of people look at your size and dismiss your riding ability.....until it's too late that is. Good job.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I enjoy sharing stories and videos about my track days with the guys on this forum. After all, most people that don't own and race a motorcycle have no idea what is involved and can't appreciate the effort, money, and time it takes to participate in this sport.
I wish more of you guys would post videos so I (we) could share in your growth as a racer.

Yes, a lot of people have fallen victom to the old "Judging a Book by its Cover " fallacy.
It use to bother me when I would show up to a track and people automatically dismiss my ability to cut a light and run an good e/t.
Talk is cheap, so i deceide that I would do my best to show them that they were wrong and get paid at the "Same Same" time. Hence, Grudge Racing.

Dave's wife is the cameraperson and I know there are at least a dozen vids floating around on YouTube with both Samd an Dave riding the 14 and the Busa. I'll contact Dave and see if he can start a threat with those vids so everyone can see what we do for fun. I don't think I can put any times to any particular vid because I simply don't know what we ran on any specific pass. I think I remember which pass Dave made the first 5.5 on but don't hold me to that either.

Another race with Dave on the Monster 14 vs a 140 pound guy on a well set up 14. Both bikes same mods. The green bike had just run a 5.78 with a 225 pound rider right before this race.

No back tire for the green bike. Heads up race but the green bike had a slightly better reaction time. My 14 makes a big move on the 1-2 shift and that's where Dave passed him and never looked back. Maybe Dave will chime in but I swear I don't think Dave ran a good time at all on this pass. Even so he gapped him decently by the 660' mark.
And thanks for the computer assist. I'm not skilled at working with computers.

Actually he did the 5.78 on my bike foot shifting and ran a 5.75 on his bike. And the smaller guy that rode his bike didn't do as good. I told him it would have been a better race if he would have road the bike himself. The smaller guy doesn't leave as hard and that was his first pass on the bike

was a weird angle but heads up. I slept baad, but was basicly the break lol. Sam and I run the clutch lever at differnt settings and when i went up the bike was tryin to pull me up as I didnt change it (think we need to get the same gloves lol). r's started to drop and when i went to correct the light went.
Actually cut a decent low .30s 60' but was the 1st 180 nightmare night spinning after the 330 and was .30 off. but got lucky....
The race should have went the other way as we were 60lbs heavier, and outpowerd. but in the bike owers defence, was a story to it. had 4 races bail on us due to not thinking wed run track bikes. so one stepped up and said ill run um on that guys bike (so we took it out of frustration not thinkin we would). hes actually a very good rider, but had been on his bike all day (cant get got off that busa to a gravy clutch that easily lol) he did 2 shake downs instead of one, but couldnt get out the hole and think he gave up half track after i shot by him somewhere around the 60.

naa, he actually did 2 shake downs when he said only one. didnt say anything on the 2nd as the 1st was so bad. but we stopped him when he tried to pull up for a 3rd lol.

lol I will tell him. I should be there. My bike should run alot better too as I finally got the air shifter on, so no more foot shifting.
