Did your 2012 come with a factory tank protector?
i thought only the green se came with it, but i just left a dealer that has a blue and black with it on and the salesmen swears they came on them. my blue did not.

Mine came with it. But it is adhesive...so once scuffed a pita to fix...

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Perfect opportunity to get some tankslapper film. I did my 07 with the 3M version..looks invisible. Much nicer than the factory rubber protector on the 12R IMO

Personally I would rather just have the factory one, I priced it when I picked my bike up and they are 60 bucks retail, so I did not order one.

if you look at all the pics of the 14r's on kawi's web site they all have one.
Every one i have seen has them installed from the factory. I would go back and and tell them you want one.

I think its cool they install it for you from the factory. I install those types of tank protectors on my bikes anyway. Thanks kawi
