mounting a Dynojet quickshifter on 2012 zx14r

Anybody find a way to mount a Dynojet Quick Shifter on a 2012 ZX14R yet without drilling a hole in the sprocket cover??? There is no speedo sensor nut or really and nuts around this cover. I was thinking of building an aluminum bracket to attach to the clutch fluid cover bolts or the footpeg bolts. Kind of like the Pingel brackets but not for $100.00 +. The other option is to take a long (65mm) bolt with a stop nut and swap it out with the top nut at the sprocket cover and cut the bracket that comes with the kit. Seems kind of flimsy to do it that way as the bolt being 6mm? would probably flex with the shifting.

Any other ideas. Building a Bonneville bike to break the modified production class record. You will probably find me here often asking questions. Seems like a friendly crowd.
Thanks!

The dynojet quickshifter comes with some useful brackets including an adhesive pad with a stud attached which could be stuck on to the sprocket cover.
I drilled the cover and put a bolt through it for my own peace of mind
