Finally went back to the track FInally went back to the track for the first time since my last post a month ago. I tried to remember all the tips from the guys on here and I think I have Drag Racing 101 memorized. I also changed out my back tire with the Shinko. I made 12 passes, the best of which was a 6.41@115 with a 1.66 60'. I hit the rev limiter between 1st and 2nd during that run though so I think it woulda been in the mid to low 30's had it been a clean pass. I did cut a .049 light though, I was happy bout that....I'm getting better, thanks for all the help.

Anytime i hit the limiter on the one two shift it cost me a tenth .. So you would have run a 6.30 no problem .. You are leaving a ton of ET and MPH on the table with a 1.66 60 foot time .. If you get it down to a 1.40 flat you could have run in the 5.90s .. Get that down to a mid 1.30s and run 5.80s all day .. ... Get back to the track as fast as you can and as many times as you can .. Work on them 60 times , the back half of the track will take care of itself as long as you don't bump the limiter .. I'm posting a video of a 5.60 pass for you .. Turn up the sound , hear my motor ... This is what you should be hearing when you leave the line .. That is leaving at 5500 , clutch out before the tree , throttle pinned before the 60 foot mark ..

Clutch out by tree, throttle open by 60' = beautiful stand up wheelie for me. Ima have to play with this thing some more and find that perfect combination of clutch release and throttle twist to make this magical 60' time appear. So far, and remember I'm 100% new to bike launching here, I'm stuck at a 1.998 60', a 10.53 and 142 mph.
That video seems like a hoax to me, it's too perfect! lol

Hopefully I get to the track friday night and try a few runs in f- off mode. so far I've only ran in L1 and it went in the 10.40s with a 1.74 60 foot bone stock. I plan on trying to run in F -off 100% stock and see if I can go 9.90's.
