Hays clutch
Anybody put a hays on a 2012 yet?
I know I'm going to have to make a spacer for the inner hub
(from on 08) not sure if the basket is the same yet...
Should have more info next week.

That will probably be a negative. A guy over on Psychobike is building a new 14R and pulled the clutch basket out and compared it to an 08-11 and they are different. The gears are also different along with a couple of other things.

My buddy ands I tried to install his Hayes clutch from an '08 into his 2012. No go. The splined output shaft on the 2012 is about 1/2 inch longer. The ring gear was fine. The hub isn't. Hayes is gonna have to rework their set up for a 2012 ZX14.

As long as the basket was the same,
you can make a spacer for the old inner hub,
I'm thinking. Hopefully next week I'll have a little time
to play with it.

MTC has no immediate plans for any clutches either. They are not even currently designing one of any kind(single, multi, or gen2).

When I talked to Tim he said the spacer would be the best bet....
It's the same size as the rear axel. I bought a brake remover/spacer that i never used, I'm going to mill it down and try that.

I put my 08 basket in my 2012 (its the same for sure, even has the same kawasaki part number ) there is about a 1/2 inch gap on the shaft, but also the front cover also liked about a 1/2 inch from being able to bolt up to the basket. So I'm not sure what to do about that.
