Better Brakes for the 14r, anyone upgraded?

Stock brakes seem pretty strong. But, am interested if anyone has done any upgrades to the Discs, or brake shoes.....If so, was there a significant improvement in stopping power...

Advise which discs you like best and brake pads too if possible....

Have you any documentation on the "scavenging" of the Jet Hot exhaust Coated header vs the stock?

Jet hot coating is just beautiful and cool to the touch within 5 minutes after hard running.

But what about the Scavenging?????

You said the scavenging was just wonderful. We want documentation.

If the jet hot exhaust coating is that good, I may just send my toaster in to have it "jet hot coated"

Think of all the power I can save if it retains all that heat? The fixed cost to toast a loaf of bread could be potentially cut by how much? 10..... maybe 15 %?

That could be the difference between whole wheat and white bread!!! I'm on it!

I'm thinking about some braided brake lines but not until after a trackday just to see the difference. What else would you do, maybe try a different pad compound?

R-1, Goldwing access, C-14 access, and ZX14r access all in the garage....how many do you have?

Don't be too worried about me, some people talk about doing things.....cause they have no money or imagination..others just do it! Which category do you fall into....??

You would never make it in the military.....just stick to reading about what others do to improve the breed.....that way you are safe, and probably have extra money to buy a hamburger at least once a week....

So if you know the answer and are so intent in knowing all about me.....why ask me any questions..just mind your own business...if you can't contribute anything useful for other members then why are you here......you must not have much to do...or are unemployed....

In case you didn't learn anything in high school...a family is a unit, a team, since we all like riding we share in the work to be able to have a few toys to enjoy...we don't get drunk or take drugs...

So, why don't you do something useful and find out who is selling drugs in your neighborhood and go help local law enforcement...instead of wondering about my bank account! Duh!!

Liars don't make it too well in the military either. We just kick them out with a bad conduct or other than honorable discharge and let them become part of the unemployed statistic. Just sayin'.

From what I understand any brakes that may be better than the stockers (something like brembos perhaps) would be so prohibitively expensive, paired with only marginally better stopping power. Unless you like the way they look, or just want to tell someone that you dropped four or five grand on brakes I'd think that money would be better spent elsewhere. That's my opinion based on the research I've done.
