Brock Map Support Database Updating in Progress...today!
Just spoke with Brock Davidson.
He and staff members are on the ZX14r dyno this morning, doing upgrading of the current mapping database for this bike. A few unique changes are being developed.
New maps will be sent to all Registered Members....so standby for even MORE performance!

I wonder if Brock tested the AH2 on a Gen 1 14 yet.

It is going to remove the slow speed bucking as you approach traffic lights and slow downs, and make it feel more like stock. You won't have to clutch as early as you do currently and can remain in gear longer before clutching and applying brakes...much smoother....ask me how I know!

Yes we did, it made more power than any other pipe... It just doesn't fit well. The muffler mounting bracket is off by about .75 You can FORCE it on, but it's very tight.

Had my 1st ride w/ CT Meg / street map yesterday and at low speeds, I'm pulling the clutch sooner before stopping - bike seems to just wanna keep moving forward....I know, usually that is the goal

So being one who has the pipe on order but already owns a PC5 w/Brocks Street Map on it while I wait for the pipes, is the official reccomendation to download the new map Brock?
Sounds like you're asking to be sure it's needed on a universal basis.

Thanks for the info Brock... Do you guys still offer the original AH in the ceramic black? I've been really considering upgrading to one of those sometime this year. Of course the CT single isn't that much more expensive. Tough choice.

Mine has a bit of a stumble at low rpm's but no bucking or big problems.

Sometimes you have to consider the source on some things said.
The bucking could be from chain slack for all we know coming from him.

Learned that mine was not idling properly initially after everything was installed and idle was adjusted - so my issue might be just that the idle needs to be set back a hair...

Guys, no hack session requested. I'm just gathering data. I have a couple of very happy test riders right now using the new map and I've questioned several others who have no idea what I'm talking about when I ask them about any type of drivability issues with our current street map.
I can duplicate the 'stumble' I was alerted to from another board... but I have to ride in 3rd gear at 1750 RPM to do it. I created another map to 'trick' MOST of the stumble away. But IMO it's mostly a rowdy 200+ factory stroker motor 'lumping' on the cam.
I don't have access to a stone stocker, so if anyone wants to go look for this situation using the above criteria - feel free and let me know if it is there also. I remember the 14R wasn't the smoothest bike I had ever ridden at slow speeds in Vegas, but without a side by side... it's difficult.

No hacking from this guy.....just something I have seen people do, force it below idle without dissengaging the clutch, and buckbuckbuck........especially if the idle is set too high.
Just an observation..........

This kid just gives the worst advice I've ever seen. From screwing your tire to your rim on a street bike to a fender extension to keep water off the radiator... And the list goes on and on, and on.

the only time i have had problem with mine was when i put it in the first gear without holding the clutch .. it dies on me all the time... is this because i don't have a good map??

You must be forgetful Maybe you should take time to read the owners manual, or tape the instructions to the fuel tank so you know how to do it properly.
Just follow simple procedure, it is in the book.....
Let me know if you have any more problems and will have my sister give you some hands on training...
