2012 Zx14 insurance is insane
My 07 was under 600 for the year. 2012 is over double that at 1147 a year. My agent cant explain why the increase. I think it's insane.

statefarm told me 393.00 a year full coverage 500 deductible....my 2000 12r is 275 for the same......

yeah thats for liability. I live in your area have rider insurance. And pay 1700 a year for full coverage,almost 40 and no accidents.

That's insane. I need to move down south or find an address. New york is impossible to find good rates for motorcycle insurance. I got a quote for my 09 r1 with progressive for full coverage with 500 deductible for 2,600 for the year. I am 26, married, with no accidents or tickets and excellent credit. I haven't really shopped around because once they told me that I was discouraged. It's almost impossible. Theoretically, if I do not have an accident within four years, I could have bought another bike cash. It's a rip-off! I'm also considering buying a 14r at the end of the year as a second bike but that's depressing to add to the consideration of purchasing. I wonder why the rates are so high. Back in 06 I had a 14 and a CBR1000RR, the 14 was cheaper to insure then the CBR. The 14 was new and the CBR was two years old at that time. It's all a scheme.

Going from my 2007 ZX14 to 2012 ZX14R my insurance only jumped about $8 a month...same exact policy.

Insurance rates are insane. I am 56 years old, haven't been in an accident in the last 20 years. In Philadelphia I am paying $900.00 full coverage for my 2010 ZX-14.

Im with State Farm,
My insurance was $368/yr full coverage for my 09, i have the same policy for my 2012 and its only $396/yr full coverage. My deductable is 250.
plus i laid my 09 down in november of 2010 and it didnt go up..

Rider full coverage 500 deductable over 40 good credit not in city 375.00 per year 35 dollars more than my 2008/109 Boulevard.

2002 speed triple was $192/yr. 2012 zx14 is $950/yr.

Holy fuck, don't you pussies dare whine. Basic insurance (liability only, and only $200k at that) WITH full discount from a clean 7 year record runs $1200 a year here. About $2000 for a new driver. Add a couple hun for a more realistic $2M liability coverage. And double that (at least) for collision and comprehensive coverage.
