Shane, I'll probably be bringing my street 12 out there, race one will have to sit out. I should be up there with another 12R guy (rookie to lsr) but about 40 years my senior.
Dan, believe me I tried to get up there. My last grandparent is withering away, I had trailer issues, wiring issues, last minute reservation issues (found out what a dump wilmington inn is and they woudln't allow the dog), etc. Rain and the long lines (hot rod mag) had me feeling a little leery and I would have felt bad for my buddy coming along if he would have come out only to do one friggin 125 mph license pass, c'est la vie. I feel like Roy and I would have had some mid to upper 220s and possibly flirting with 230s but I couldn't make it unfortunately. I knew if I would have come and my grandmother passed my whole family would have been grumbling .... they don't like the bike thing regardless.....throw in jail time here and there and racing taking up my time/money I woudln't have heard the end of it IF i was in Ohio and my grandmother just so happeend to finally pass that weekend. LIFE keeps getting in the way of LIFE! I'm hoping for mid to upper 190s stock motor n/a and if there's a t-wind maybe 2 on the nose....doubtful though as I don't think its ever been done in history in the standing mile.

Ali,
First of all I'm sorry to hear about your Grandmother passing away, hopefully she had a good, full life.
From what I've been told the conditions were not good at all with the very high humidity. I'm thinking everyone's numbers would improve with dry air.
Maybe the weather will be good when you straddle Roy's bike in the future, I believe 230 is doable with his bike and your riding skills......that's a good combo.

maybe you should take up archery and fishing in the mean time lol. I don't have a motorcycle anymore but I'm kicking the shit out of the big bass and anything that can be shot with a bow :P. I have a spare that I could get you all set up with... you know... for home protection and whatnot lol.

Thanks Dan, just so we're clear, she hasn't passed as of this writing, but I feel she will soon. 92 is already passed the odds. She's there but not really there if you know what I mean. Withering.
I'm sure Roy and I will be able to sync up next go round.
I must say it feels good though to have everything else taken care of between the truck, trailer, hotel res, registr, etc.....I'm very last minute but I'm working on changing that.
Hope to see everyone at Ohio, I should be there and unless she passes days before the race I'm IN.

Great riding Racheal and fine tuning Shane! And thanks for proving our products and tuning work after the 1/4 mile ends (: We are in the middle of crushing our 2011 sales records - that's a great thing, of course... but it doesn't leave much time for me to get out and play. It's fantastic that we have folks like you and Smokin Lee Pritchard setting standards for others (even the pro's!) to follow.
Well done and thanks for scoring one for 'regular guys' (and gals) all over the world!

Thanks Brock! I hope we can better these speeds later this year. Still, 201.76 mph on a first unlimited pass is pretty strong, imo.
It hasn't been widely spread, but that pass was done with a 2nd gear start. The track was cold, with painted runway, and wheelspin (especially on the 1-2 shift) was a big problem. We took a gamble and started in 2nd gear....the bike left smoothly, and still laid a 20 ft darkie at 90+ mph in 2nd. She grabbed 3rd perfectly, and the bike was gone. That thing hauls the mail...

The 201.76 14R mph ridden to work, with nothing more than a switch to pump gas...

I've owned and ridden (regularly) well over 20 bikes (maybe 30+?), but this14R is my favorite yet...

Whatever you do, don't ask him about buying the motor he has listed in the CLASSIFIEDS; he will flip-out!

Especially if you start out by asking me if I "ever managed to get it to run", and then in the next sentence ask me "what my rock bottom price is"!!
That buyer is not my demographic....

Do you see what I mean....
But don't take this for something that it is not. I have purchased an item or two from him in the pass and the transaction went smoothly. I think something may have gotten lost in translation due to talking about this via the pm system.
Shane, good luck with your builds.
