Congrats lucky! After being off a bike for a long period it's tough to run the "fastest" numbers.
____________
Best: 60ft 1.351 1/8 5.68 mph 123.98 1/4
8.89 mph 151.32

For those who missed the point here:
The point that this was the bike's first time out. Without giving a list that sounds like excuses, it needs tweaking.
The point that you should be impressed with the 14R, NOT with me.
The point that I went quicker accidentally on the 14R than I did on purpose with my 2008.
This in spite of my riding skills being way off. I was only launching at 5K until I get some feel for the bike and the clutch. Yes, I'm a little skeeeered!
I'm not getting the clutch out soon enough. I'm getting the clutch out too soon. I'm not getting to WOT soon enough. I may not be holding it WOT through the traps. I'm not staying in the groove. Make a list ..........
Regardless, I had FUN!!!

Oh, and I missed an important point:
Many thanks to Wheelie for the coaching to let me know what I *should* be doing!!!

PS you can see a picture of my bike ,on this form it is the one were i say dyno results posted. blue ones are much faster. thanks again Burt.
The shifter was put together with parts from a variety of places. It takes longer to buy all the parts than to actually install it. A kit is much easier. I could do a separate thread with more details if RICH CRAFT 1 and Wheelie agree to release their "secrets" that they shared with me.
Yes, autoshift and McIntosh AlumiPro is 12 over.

Wheelie, quit calling yourself an amatuer. I'm pretty sure that you make more passes in a year than teasley does. lol.
Congrats lucky on the new personal best! What wheelbase and gearing are you running? Also, How much do you weigh? I can't remember that one either.

This is an air shifter with quality parts, not cheap, post up the parts and part numbers.

Speed is all relative.
As Kawa 74 pointed out, Top Fuelers are finishing the 1000 ft when I am hitting the 330.
On the other hand, there was a guy on a stock 14 running for the first time going 7's and was THRILLED with his times!!!

That's the same thing I say. I don't get to ride my ZX14R but one or two days out of the month, but I have fun when I do. This is not my "job" , but what I do for fun.

About 195 suited. 183 without gear, so I'm guessing - need to confirm.

OK, I looked at the Wego logs.
It's taking me 2.0 seconds to get to 100% throttle.
That's roughly 100 feet out.
At the same time, I'm slipping the clutch too much and for too long and letting the revs get too high without driving forward.
Smokin says "....I have the clutch out before i get to the tree and before i get to the 60 foot mark i have the throttle pinned .... "
There's my plan for next time.
Sounds simple enough .....................

Good idea. I have plenty to look at.
Then all I have to do is convince my hands that my brain knows what it is talking about.
