Had to take the sawzall to the 14 today

I was removing the rear axle nut to change my tire in prep for my trip to denver from North west washington, when the nut stoped turning after half to 3/4 of a turn out! So I busted out the Pb plaster and tightened it and backed it out a few times to try to free it up. This got me no place fast.
After busting out the 30" cheater bar and putting all my 195lbs on it it still would not turn any further, this was not good! I had to stop with the brute force method because I was starting to turn the axle in the soft aluminum axle holder in the extension on the right side.

30 min with a sawzall and a steady hand I cut the axle nut in half, even after that it took the 30" bar and fought me the whole way. Looking at whats left of the threads, it seems the axle threads crossed or pulled in the middle of where the nut used to be? This seems odd to me being that the threads looked and felt fine last time I had it apart.

I always tourqe to spec with a snap on tq wrench thats calibrated regularly.
Need axle and nut in hurry now..
