Track suit size help
If I'm deciding on a getting a one-piece track suit (Ebay or mabe someone selling one), what size should I get? I see 42, 44, 46 ect. When I was in the corps, I wore a 42 blouse (Is that the same?) I'm 71 inches tall, 31-32 waist. Should I get a size bigger than needed? What do you prefer to be the best size?

You will appreciate a 2 piece suit at the track when it's 90 degrees and you waiting in the pits.

You get what you pay for with a leather suit. If you want one just to say you have one, get a no name brand off eBay. If you want one to protect yourself get a decent one.

If you are a slim lean build, the 42-44 sounds about right. If you have some muscle or a stomach, go with the 44-46.

peaveyplayer,
I looked at your profile to see where you live because I know someone here in Kentucky who makes custom suits. When I saw the link to your home page I clicked on it and that shit popped up on the moniter..........in front of my 8 year old son, I do not appreciate it one bit.
Please remove it from your profile......

I bought a Teknic Chicane 2 piece for track days and am very happy with it. Well ventilated so you cool off as soon as you start moving and 2 piece means I can take off the jacket between sessions with ease. I've even used the jacket for street rides when my street jacket was caked with bugs and stunk too bad to wear.
I've managed to keep the wheels on the ground so far so I can't tell you how the suit performs while flying through the air, bouncing on the pavement and sliding across the blacktop.

Don't worry about having a 2 piece suit. Just about everyone at the dragstrip has a 2 piece suit. If you get a decent quality suit the zipper should hold up fine.

I bit the bullet anf bought a suit. A starter for me. Main thing was to be protected. I hit hard twice, lowside crashes, and both had me limping for two months... and neck cramps. I will let yall know how this suit is when I get it in the mail. Here is the link. http://www.auctiva.com/hostedimages/showimage.aspx?gid=96635&image=84415087&images=84415087,84414987,84415193,256921936&formats=0,0,0,0&format=0

Most sellers of new leathers will swap out different sizes if you need to. You'll pay shipping, but it may be worth it if nobody local has anything for you to try on. Sportbiketrackgear and competition accessories are two great places to check prices.

had to upload the pictures late, here they are. Got this 44' for 300 +20 shipping on ebay. Brand new, no knee pucks, and full armor. Are any knee pucks ok? Never owned a pair, will be my first time sliding with them if I buy some lol. Also, will any fit if it doesn't matter? thanks all.

Here it is. The guy that sells em on ebay is nice, he asks your weight and such. He will give you the size he thinks is best for you. I'm 185 and 5,11. 34 waist. Fits really tight and makes you sweat hardcore like you all said. Its so hard to get on, very hard. I guess this wil change after wearing it in? It's all leather and kevlar protection. has a spot for my ipod/iphone in front zipper. Suit 300 + 17 shipping. Got boots on ebay for 70 (Used, guy got wrong size), got matching Bilt gloves for 40 (new) on cyclegear (Sale, someone told me about in the boots help thread) and I bought knee sliders, because I didn't think they came together. I was wrong, they do come with the suit. I had a t-shirt on and some shorts when I put it on, and it was pretty dang tight. Here are the pictures.

and yeah, I like UGA lol. Thank you guys for your help. If you know a proper place to put the sliders let me know or any other helpful information getting this thing on and off tell me please!...First time owning a suit! PUMPED!

That's perfect size for now. If you gain any weight at all, you're hosed. The under armour-type shirts and shorts will make it much easier to get into and out of that suit. It keeps you from sweating real bad, too.
I bought my leathers a size too big so it would be easier and more comfortable to wear, but loose leathers allow the protective armor to move around when you're bouncing and sliding across the ground.
