Testing Brocks EZ drag Shock ..

First off i didn't feel that the stock shock was that bad for me anyway because of my weight .. Brock told me once the Drag shock was set correctly i would pick up 60 foot times AND MPH on the big end of the track .. I have to tell you i really didn't buy into what he was telling me .. Hell i was going 8.50s so how bad could the stock shock be ? My first three passes were just to get a base line before i made any changes to the shock adjustments .. I did pretty good on those 3 passes , best one being 8.51 @ 161. 60 with a 1.33 60 footer .. I made one easy adjustment on the shock as Brock told me to do and BANG 1.30 60 footer and MPH went up to 162.60 My highest ever MPH ... Brock told me it would pick up MPH and my 60s would drop .. He was right on the money .. I told him i didn't feel the bike spinning on the top end unless i got out of the grove and he said you may not feel it spin but it is spinning .. I picked up a full MPH with just one adjustment ...We only got a few runs in before the cars started crashing and oiling down the track .. We just ran out of time to make anymore adjustment to the shock to see if i could better my 1.30 60 foot time .. Our 1/8 mile track is going to reopen May 5th and that means more track time for me .. The 1/8 mile is a great place to make some more adjustments and see if i can get the bike to 60 foot in the 1.20s .. I feel it's very possible .. This EZ Drag shock has a total of 50 adjustment to fine tune and that doesn't include preload and sag adjustment , so i have a lot of things yet to try .. All i can say for the little testing i got with this drag shock is it works! ..

More to come soon ..

good run smokin, but the price of the shock vs that much gain leaves most racers out.

True Rick but if you can't get the power to the ground it will fix that .. Brocks EZ Drag shock is half the price of other top line shocks.. I think this shock will be a big help for guys that weigh much more than me .. My stock shock was border line at best at my weight , think how far off the stock shock would be for a heavy guy .. I feel they are more gains to be had with more testing even for me at my lighter weight.. More testing will give us more info ..

Bently is right , Brock has the shock made to his specs for the ZX10R and ZX14R .. His Web Site shows them for 999.00 .. Half the price of the other top line drag shock..

What are the differences between the JRI DR shock and the Brock DR shock?
Besides the revalving (if that is different).... I am just curious as to why the Brock shock would work better than their shock, when Brock doesn't mfg shocks.... or is this their shock with a Brock name? Or perhaps the testing on the prototype is making the difference.

I am not bashing Brock's products just seeking what are the differences..... Lee clearly gained 1:33 to a 1:30, a gain of a few hundredths on his short time.... Can someone with a JRI shock assist in determining the gains of the JRI shock.... vs the gains of the Brock shock?

It's kinda like his exhaust. I'm pretty sure his exhaust systems are made by Hindle, but made to his specs.
So would you but just a Hindle Whig doesn't have the specs of brocks r&d?

actually do you honestly believe that Brock is the end-all for the sport bikes.... If you don't know the difference don't post speculation. I do know his has the high/low speed, but JRI also has the same adjustments on the shock they sell....

We all know Muzzy M10/M14 produced more power over the CT exhaust. Brock has a great product and great customer service.. Muzzy has good customer service, but no map support. I used to deal with them years ago, but they stop attending the races didn't want to step their game up.

justoyz2 Untill you know what you are talking about it's better you don't say anything .. Brock spent one year working with JRI on this drag shock to come up with a true drag shock .. It seems you have a bone to pick with brock , stop doing it here and call him and tell him he is wrong and doesn't know what he is doing ..

by any means do i believe brock is th end-all for the sport bikes. but what i do know is brock still supports our events and yes he is in the market to make money, but he is making money by going the extra distance to help us at a sport that we do. im not really going down this road with you again as its obvious you have a lot more money than sense.

Ekilpse, I asked a question, I don't know everything and don't claim to .... you actually started it with your comments comparing the exhaust.... Do you actually think a person that build exhaust will build a pipe for someone else and not use what you found.......

Lee, I don't have a bone to pick with anyone. I asked a questions. I understand you have a vested link with Brock. That's your thing... I am not knocking any of that.... I just don't see why I can't ask a legimit question. My question was for somone with a JRI shock.
Now I could go tell you to go fuck yourself, but I won't.. if you know the answer, and want to share, please do so. If not I will find the answer elsewhere

I can go round and round with any of you on any subject.... If you don't want a discussion, not respond. If you re-read my questions, they are just that questions. There was nothing that I asked eluded that something was strange at all. I am going to be polite on this one and keep my personal feeling to myself....If you have answers I am all ears...I am about to spend money on my bike so either help or get the hell out of my way.....

I stated what I know about how Brock works. He can take a specific product and do more r&d and make it better.
That's not starting anything. Yes, auto correct sucks on iPhone, I didn't hardly know what the last sentence says.
Why don't you buy the JRI shock and prove to us that it's not worth it to buy it from brocks?

To the both of you, your responses didn't mentioned anything about the question asked....
Perhaps I need to reword the questions.... and for the record none of your comments were pertaining to the questions I aske.... get off Brock nuts.... does either of you have a JRI shock, can you answer the question... if it's NO to both question, how about leaving it alone.

I am seeking answers not BS
