3 hours is reasonable, at the outside, imo....but most of us could do it more quickly.

Dealership will probably take 3 days..
That's usually how things go at least..
Hopefully not in your situation, but i wouldn't be surprised..

Hey Burton
I'm far from a authority but it took me about 4 hours to install my full Brocks system but I wasnt rushing in the least and never had the bike apart before. The hardest part was getting the plastics off. ...Stealership most likely will bang U out 6 hours cause they love to steal.

Good Luck

The first time I did it, 6 hours... no joke. The last time I did it (after about 7 times changing the exhaust), 1.5 hours MAYBE! It just takes getting used to. Take your time and have fun!

Save your money, do the work yourself. This way you will know the ins and outs of your own bike in case you decide to make any additional additions. I like doing my own work, you know that the effort and quality put in will result in a job well-done. Just my two cents.

I'd say do it yourself too. It took me less than 2 hours on my 2006 bike and that was before I was fully familiar with how it all came apart.

Maybe you should get a firm quotation for the work and then you won't be paying every time the mechanic stops work to answer the phone etc.

+1- and I'm sure you will put the screws back in tight enough! If you go to the dealership, I can almost ashore they will not put them back to specs.

The dealer will leave nice scratches, nicks, scrapes, and other cool stuff on you're bike, so you can think of them every time you look at it Plus you'll prolly have to do half the work over again with body panels not put on right, loose or missing parts, and maybe some cool exhaust leaks you'll either have to live with, fix yourself, or have them fix again and leave you even more nicks, scrapes, and other cool stuff
And the best part is you get to pay big money for the experience........a bargain at twice the price
