Anyone using a front fender extender on new 14R?
Looking to keep some trash and dirt off the front of the radiator area.....has anyone installed a front fender extender to the rear of the new 14R yet?
If so, does it work well, and can you advise which manufacturer makes it, and can you give it a good review?
thanks,
Ninja

If you have one, am trying to find out if you are satisfied with it and could you recommend one to someone? A simple question....
Some are better than others....some glue on, some bolt on, some stick on.....who makes the best one for the 14r? If you don't know...you don't need to respond.

sounds like you have researched the fender extender thoroughly , just buy one and give a full detailed review. I'm sure there are many waiting to hear.

Honestly, I hope your kidding. BUT, I have this gut feeling your not, so to answer the question honestly, if we change the fender, it's to put a smaller one (zx10) on

This maybe only half of your answer, regarding, keeping trash and dirt out of the radiator. I own a goldwing, and fender extensions are the norm... For my ZX14R SE, and my previous ZX14, I have been using the radiator protective screen by Cox Racing. I have a green anodized Cox screen on my 2012 SE and it looks very nice. Many people use ZX14's for sport touring as well-but I have never seen a ZX14 with a front fender extension; which is not to say some people do use them...I am no help to you on the front fender extension-but the Cox grill may still be of some use to you. Let us know what you end up doing.

I want to keep the existing stock front fender. Have lots of rain storms here..got caught in one yesterday....Want to keep water and road debris off the radiator as much as possible. Have front fender extender on the C-1r and it works well but is a little too long. Would like a shorter unit that still protects the radiator area by keeping water and dirt off that area as much as possible.
Don't want to alter the appearance of the bike by installing a ZX10 front fender.

I have the cox guard on the way now.....and that helps, but keeping the extra water off that area helps keep the engine compartment cleaner than using the stock front fender. So, am considering a small extension to give more protection than stock.
I have one on the Goldwing and the C-14 now and they work very well.....so wanted to continue to make them look better longer. It is not a drag bike, just street and ride several miles. Summertime it rains here every day and hard......hence the extra protection.
It still runs 186 mph like everyone elses....so it is not going to slow me down. It has all the power anyone can handle.

am 17 now had a birthday, dad has the goldwing, sister the C-14, and am finishing up on the Zx14r for his soon return from...over there.
So am putting finishing touches on it.....radiator guard and front fender extension and then it is complete. Just trying to find the best accessories that work and don't cause any safety problems.

My mother is fitting the money bill......sister and I and a couple of my buddies come over after class and we work until we get tired or run out of stuff to do.
This project bike is a surprise and almost completed....has pretty much the best after market equipment installed now....always have performance, reliability, and safety in mind with all the add-on equipment. So that is why I am asking if anyone has added any kind of a fender extension yet to this new bike and if they like it, and if it looks good installed.
Just wanted to get some ideas from someone in the know.......
Going to try to get the Marine Commandant to host a surprise presentation with an honor guard on the special day... should be lots of fun.....but the bike is all green...not red, white, or blue...just the license tag is patriotic. A couple of his Seal Team buddies are going to drive him up in a Humvee...so it will be real unexpected and lots of fun.
