Heard about the big fines in denver if you run loud or non stock exhaust. Might want to check that out.

It depends on the density altitude for the day, weather can make it feel lower or higher in elevation. But a mile up is still a mile up, and its going to suck power wise, even more so if you have to go back to stock exhaust and give up another 12hp or so

More heat in ABQ. The DA here is always about 1000-2000' more than Denver

I'm heading to Denver in about a month, my wife and I will be checking out the University of Denver. Once we get back from the Peace Corps, I think we'll be moving there, we just wanted to fly in and check it out. 3000, where are you going to school?

Ahh ha,
So All N/A bikes and cagers will be at the same disadvantage up there right?
Oh yeah my dyno tuner wants to make a adjusted map for me without putting the bike on the dyno again (a mile high map) does this sound like a good idea?

Yep we all run slow here lol. Get used to 10.0s@135-137 lol, I've ran my map here and in Houston. It ran fine, I've also taken my turbo bike down to Houston when I had it and it ran fine. AFRs stayed real close. My nitrous bike also stayed the same. I'd just keep your map you have now

I also run the same map regardless. I can literally go from 8000ft up to sea level in one ride.....and I never change maps.....haven't needed to. Modern fuel-injected bikes are great at adapting to elevation changes. Plus they hide the effects of elevation change WAY better then carbs. My carbed bike struggles with driveability and power way more than my injected bikes when I change elevation.

We sold our 2nd car so Ill be riding the 1500 miles to denver now on the 14! I plan on hitting the road May 11th at the crack of dawn. Ill go east through Montana then south to Denver.
Im mounting new tires now, fresh oil and filters, just changed fork oil, lowered bike a bit more and am cleaning any polishing everything for that showroom new look for the trip.
I hope the weather works with me, should be a hell of a ride!
Oh and I bought a new scorpio alarm since ill have to leave the bike in parking lots at hotels n such. (sr-i900) with 2 way remote.

I didnt want to install somthing that didnt relate to hp or weight savings, but Im sure my bike would become another stolden bike if I didnt have one. I try to find ground level hotel rooms so I can just roll my bike inside, but some times I cant find one, or the hotel freaks out when they see my doing this lol.
Once a motel charged me for a bunch of new towles because I had cleaned my bike inside the room with there towles lol, ( there towles were not that dirty geeze)

Ill be catching a ferry off this island to Seattle, then going east over the Cascades via 90 into Montana then South to denver, Should be an incredible ride! As of now I don't even have a place to live there yet, ill look around on monday and hopefully find a place.

Wow the ride was incredible! I got tired of going fast, really, parts of Wyoming and Montana were so long I was able to hold it open for minutes at a time without seeing another sole truly a once in a lifetime experience. 1500 miles, just a backpack and my bike. I stayed in some scummy motels so I could roll my bike in the room with me and clean/maintain it.

I found a apartment with a garage and am setting up shop, should have the lift stands and tire changer here in a few weeks. I'll continue to do motorcycle repair on the side while going to school full time starting Monday.
Even though my 14 has some years and has been ran hard it didn't give me any trouble at all on this trip, seen temps from 20'a to mid 80's
