Thinking about selling the 2010 and buying a 2014
So, I keep thinking about selling my 2010 before I deploy to Afghaniland next year and buying a new 2013-14 when I get back. I am just fishing for thoughts, not posting for sale, I know I will post in the classifieds if I do decide to.
If I bought a new bike, I would have to get an AH2 and PCV or maybe a reflash.
My 2010 has about 7,000 miles, AH, PCV, Speedohealer, lowering links, shortened kickstand. How much do you think I could get for it, realistically?
I hate to put it in storage for another 9 months when I know I can afford a new one when I get back.

I bought my red 2010 in January of this year for $8000.00 with 1700 miles from my local dealer. If I were to sell, I would put back to stock and list for $8500.00 and take $8000.00. Now it has 2100 miles.

you may not get $8k then again you never know, it's all about finding the right person that will pay your asking price.

My bike is all stock. I bought my 2010 with only 772 miles last month, and I paid a lot less. I've seen them advertised for almost $10,000, so like Wheelie said, it's all about finding the right person that will pay your asking price.

well, i didn't keep the stock exhaust, and the PCV and speedohealer wont be needed on the 14r. Maybe I could keep the lowering links and kickstand. I know the rest is a loss. Just not sure whether to put her in storage. I thought I wouldn't have to deploy again.

Right now is getting to be the "prime" time to sell, people are itching for bikes. Decide how much you want to get, add $500 onto it for "hagglers" and see how much interest you get. If you are in Kabul, I might see see you there.
