Instructions are on Brock's site:
http://www.brocksperformance.com/Instructions/ZX14/996395.pdf
____________
You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

The red cap with hose inserted makes the backfiring go away........immediately!

It's suppose to help, but it's not always going to make it go away.
Proper tuning will make the decal pop go away.

Not plugged it will give a false lean condition on a data logger

I didn't run mine without that pair blocker there...but the ONLY decel backfire I get is winding down like in first at around probably 2500 rpms or so...and only for a split second....and it doesn't always do that anyway....only on certain decels.Mine's very nice.

I just got my CT Single w/ PC5 and Brocks Street map yesterday for my 2012 14R and the instructions for the pair blocker still denote the right side of the bike. I know that has been an issue, as it's the left side where the hose is to be blocked on 2012's. I have printed the instructions from Brocks website specifically for the 2012R but wanted to give a headsup to anyone taking delivery of this pipe that they may still have the wrong instructions. Go to Brocks website and print the correct ones for 2012. I will also post on Brocks site.

not sure what the instructions say but if you plug the right side hose the 14r will not start.

Plugging the right hose will start the engine, but it will not idle at normal 1100 rpms.

My only comment was that there are 2012 intstructions that specifically and correctly illustrate to plug the LEFT hose. The pre 2012 instructions correctly illustrate to plug the right one. If you get a Brocks pipe for your 2012 14R with instructions saying to plug the right side hose, do not use it. Go to the web site and print instructions to plug the left side hose. I called Brocks today and let them know that they are still sending out the wrong instructions for 2012 14R's for this, or at least they had for mine. If I hadn't been reading here or on the user forum I would not have known.
