0-60 times for a bike

Does anyone have any idea how fast my drag bike does 0-60? Some internet calculator said 1.7x and I find that a little hard to believe.... who knows.... maybe thats right...
6.0 1/8th at 117 mph, 1.46 60'

My wife and I were at Hollywood Studios today and rode the Rock N Roller Coaster and it claims 2.8 0-60mph. It felt pretty good, but I told my wife my bike does it faster and she didn't believe me. Has anyone ever gotten an accurate 0-60mph on their zx14?

That would depend on traction, wheel base, suspension setup, rider, etc

Get a copy of Cycle World road test(s)...

gilberjj:

Cycle World routinely does instrumented tests for 0-60, passing times, etc. I believe the 14R came in in the 2.4-2.5 range. I don't have the article in front of me (copy loaned out to a friend), but I think it was either February or March issue with 14R on the cover. I would think the 14 would be equally as quick to 60 mph. Of course in the real world, rider, weight and skill will dictate, but I think your instincts are correct.

My mustang did it in 1.9 according to one of those performance computers that stick to your windshield. That was on a 11.21 @ 126 mph pass with a 1.6 60'.

There's a calculator that's reasonably accurate given your 1/8th mile time and MPH. A 14, especially a long one will go 0-60 stupid quick.

http://wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php

Hope that works.

That will probably be about it, the P-Box are pretty accurate, and they should be given what they cost.

according to that calculator, a 5.76@126 would get you a 1.31 0-60.

Yes, I'd say so. A good 60' time necessitates building MPH in a big hurry.

Gixxerjerk can do it underwater in 1/2 second or so I hear. 'Course that depends on barimetric pressure & depth & wether he's on his period or not.
