I ran 87 in my 06 and 09 , mostly track but i did have some street miles mixed in .. the 06 had 5000 1/4 mile passes on it and never a problem .. In fact the bike is still running today with 20k on it ..my 2012 gets no less than 89 , why ? because they did raise the compression a bit over the gen 1s ..This summer for street and track i will jump up to 92 or 93 because of the higher temps .. One or two HP loss is not going to slow me down much if any ..I can make up a 2 HP loss in weight or some other way .. Better not to piss off the drag racing Gods and play it safe

Hey wow what do you know that's exactly what I said. But you say it and it's right I say it I'm an asshole. that's why I can't stand this forum sometimes. that's what I was getting at its safer to run 92 octane that's all
