Best way to clean the header????

Well after 3 years and 13k the yoshi header is looking a little weathered. Anyone know the best way to bring back its original stainless luster without removing it from the bike.

The gold color you are seeing is from the surface reacting with the atmosphere... oxidation. To get the look of fresh metal back
you must abrade that oxidated layer off... Never Dull or Flitz plus some elbow grease will do nicely!

Sinichrome Metal polish and a lot of rubbing. I purchased Shane661 used Muzzy M14 from him 3 years ago and was blue and gold. 6 hours and 8 beers later I had it looking almost new before I installed it. 2 years later it was blue and gold again. Your header looks a lot better then mine did before I started on it..... next winter remove the header pipes and set in front of the TV and watch sports and rub on it like I did.
Or not and just ride your bike. you can't see it when you are ridding. :-) I used old white socks with polish on them and got a tennis elbow ... :-) the power ball is a good idea with header off as it will sling polish... I have used Flitz and it is OK but and the German made Simichrome worked better.

kaboom bathroom cleaner and #0000 steel wool....spray it down and keep it wet for about 15 minutes with the kaboom, then scrub with the steel wool. Then polish when you are done. Took me about an hour to do mine.

just keep it wet and let it do it's thing...then scrub with steel wool while keeping it wet the whole time. Kaboom rocks for cleaning stainless.

You may need to use some very fine wet sandpaper if you have stubborn stains, but if you are just removing mostly oxidation...this works very well.
