Tough morning, need some tips
Knocked over my bike this morning with my truck. Over the initial rage, now I just want to fix it. Anyone have any experience with fixing or replacing? Nothing is cracked; but the nose, mirror, upper, and lower fairings on the left side are scratched and that little leg on the bottom of my foot peg broke off. Obviously I'll have to buy new mirror and peg. My main question is whether it will be cheaper to have the fairings and nose fixed and painted or just buy new? Haven't had much luck on ebay. Any help would be appreciated guys.

sorry dude... oem plastics are expensive.. if you want to get it 100% right painting is alot cheaper. i am suprised you have not found any parts on ebay... at least mirror or foot peg..
if you lived in my area i know someone could have painted for you with very good price.

@shawnski Yeah I haven't even started looking for the mirror or foot peg yet. The foreman has a little chewing on one of the fins too. I'm still deciding whether or not I care about that. I kinda figured plastic repair and paint would be cheaper. I'm albany, ny... If that's anywhere near you. Worth the shot in the dark.

I have two mirrors off an 07 let me know what one u need we can work somethin out if u like and I have a side plastic that was painted......

From the picture, it doesn't look too bad for a shop to fix and paint. I would say swing by a shop or two and see how much they want to fix it and compare it to what you find on ebay.
My thought on the peg is to not worry about the feeler on the bottom of it. I took both of them off of my bike. I guess you could find a peg on ebay too or maybe someone here has one.
I have a L mirror I can get rid of. I needed a R side in 2010 and ended up buying a set from the classifieds here. There's a bracket between the mirrors. Is it still in one piece?

The base of the mirror is fine, the outside corner of the housing is scratched

we are little bit away from each other ( houston,tx) LOL
i think the the only positive thing about black paint will be easier to match than other colors like silver or metalic blue etc...
i had my rear seat cowl on my 03 zx12r ( lime green) painted once and that shit never matched!!!

@shawnski Maybe... It's the metallic black. Hopefully I can find someone to match that flake.

If you are in N.C. , the is a guy I think his name is spelled Yohan... I dont have his number but have seen his work! THIS GUY IS BETTER THAN GOOD! look on craigs list for him FAR FAR cheaper than replacing!

get a descent set of sliders, maybe file an insurance claim? If not then keep checking Ebay and wait for a mid fairing, compound out what you can from other panels..... Maybe a carefully placed decal or 2.

Yeah sliders are definitely going on. Looking like I've got to dig the body work tools and grab some plastic repair. Put out feelers for paint. Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Whatever u do buy oem plastics before u buy that hong kong eBay shit trust me I've been down that road with my gixxer before and it sucks! That stuff isn't even close!
