2012 ZX14R PCV Autotune or not?
Ok, question is... I just ordered my PCV and was curious if Auto Tune was a "good" mod or a waste of money. I have always had custom maps made for my bikes and frankly I am not sure if it makes sense... Brock's maps are supposed to be amazing, as well as his map support... I just don’t know if the Auto Tune is worth the extra $$$. Anyone have any experience with it? Is it worth the $250ish price?

I'm trying to decide the same. I'm going to start w/Brock's maps (Again.) and see how that goes. If I see/feel a shortcoming, I'll address it. If all goes well, I'll save my money (Of which I've already spent plenty!). OTOH, I bought the Cobra PowrPro which is sort of their cruiser version of the Autotune. It reads all factors and adjusts 40-120 times/second to give you the best tune on the fly. So far, it's awesome. No maps, downloads, adjustments, etc. Just ride and it does all the work. Truly plug and play. Very nice.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you order it from?

I just put a feeler out to DynoJet to see if they think the AutoTune will sample quick enough for racing. I don't know if anyone else has asked them so...

I am going with a custom map, spoke to Brock's and the guy said auto tune works, but getting a map made is best....

I spoke w/a guy at Vance and Hines who said the same. A custom map is still best. He explained the general idea behind his reasoning but I'll be darned if any of it stuck...
