Greggy's ZX-14R ABS now wears TB Carbon slip-ons!!!

Hey guys,

What do you think of my new Two Brothers V.A.L.E. carbon slip-ons?

A friend of mine and I fitted them ourselves tonight in my garage after work with just a few basic tools. It took about 2hrs but we had no clue what we were doing - we just took it nice and easy and checked and re-checked everything several times. I can tell you they are feather-weights compared to the (big and ugly) stock mufflers. The bike definitely feels lighter no doubt about it... cornering seems to have improved the most, almost as if I've lost a small pillion passenger form the back of the bike!!!

But... they are very LOUD. Not loud enough to make your ears bleed, but I think I'm going to look into getting some ear plugs

However what shocked me the most is how crimped (read restricted) the OEM stock muffler-joiner pipes are... I reckon I've liberated several horsepower for sure. I don't know why KHI do it that way, as the TB pipes route beautifully.

Enjoy!

Those TB pipes look really nice. In fact they fit the 14 perfectly IMO. I'm waiting for Yosh to offer slip on's in a few weeks I think. They just introduced full systems for the 14R.

They look really nice. May I ask why you went with slip ons as of opposed to a full system?

As fast as Rickey went with stock pipes and then with full system ands mr12 seems like slip ons might be enough.

Thanks guys!!!!

I'll get some better (daylight) photos up when I get time - hopefully this weekend. I'll also try and get a video clip uploaded to youtube or something like that so you can all have a little listen to the beast in action.

I pretty sure the fender eliminator is an RG unit.

I feel that (for my needs) a full exhaust system isn't necessary, as I mainly wanted to rid the bike of the stock KHI mufflers and give it a nice exhaust note. Well I've got the look I wanted, and also a loud, but still very nice, exhaust note. The flow through these pipes compared to the stock system is amazing. At idle, you can stand a few feet back from the rear of the bike, and if you had wet hair, the exhaust air-blast would dry your hair in no time at all

I can't believe how much BIGGER the rear 190 section tyre looks now that the massive bazookas are gone!!! The rear tyre used to look like a 140 but now it look F-A-T like a 190 tyre should
