Why would Akrapovic say the 06 pipe will not fit a 09?

Probably the same reason Dynojet PowerCommander says the 06 PC will not work with 08+.
FYI - my Akrapovic Evo system came with a welded on O2 bung, but no plug.

That's true of slipons. Obviously NOT true for a full exhaust.
Which do you have- the 06 or the 09?

If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

'06 and '07 header outlet pipes are smaller diameter than '08 and later. I installed the '08 plus Akra slip-on's on my '07 using bushing to pick-up the slack. The bushing are actually made from titanium section of mid pipes from '06 - '07 Akra slip-on's.
