Air shifter set up 2012 ZX14R

A few pictures of where and how i set up the air shifter and controlls ..

Low pressure gauge ..

MPS auto shift location ... It has to be right where i put it so the auto shit RPM chip doesn't hit the seat .. The chip fits up into one of the empty spaces in the bottom side of the seat . Power wire is tapped right into the old tag light wiring .. So now the kill box has a fused power line ..

High pressure adjustable Regutator

Air Ram ..

20 OZ Co2 bottle on the swing arm ..

Hope this might help you guys to give your some ideas on setting up your air shifters ..

Over ride button.. Made my own button bracket ( didn't want to spend 130.00 bucks from a MPS )

I used a heavy duty trans brake button from MR gasket .. It has a coiled cord and works well when turning the bike .. You can't see but the button is held in place with Hook Lock from Radio Shack ...No holes to drill , just peal and sick to the flat buttom part of your turn signal switch ... It not like velco , it's so strong you need to use a screw driver to split it apart .. Unlike Velco you just Can't pull it off easly .. Thanks to Wrongway ( Roy ) for turning me on the the Hook Lock stuff .. Trust me , you put this stuff on your seat and your butt and you will never get off the bike !!! It's that strong !!

I really like that regulator setup, very nice...also, nice pipe!

Does the mps setup tap into the 4 coil wires?

You can ... MPS has a plug and play right to the coils ... I didn't do that , i tapped right in at the ECU wires at the rear of the bike ..

Where do you run you low pressure gauge from? Do you have a "T" in the line somewhere? Mine is directly on my regulator, but I like where you have yours.

I used a "T" right before the shift solenoid ... My shift solenoid is right next to the coolant bottle ..

Ok that's what I was thinking, definitely a better setup than mine, as I have to get off the bike to check the pressure.

No sorry i don't .. But i will take some and post them Monday .. I ran it along the ram air tube ... down under the ram air tube and up and over the left side of the Rad .. Zip locking the air line to the bottom part of ram air clamp of the ram air tube so not to get to close to the heat of the Rad .. From there over to the lower hole in the steering stem and up the the gauge .. I have pleanty of slack so you can go lock to lock on the steering and not pull or bind the air line ... The trick as i found out on my zx10 was to keep it away from any hot engine parts .. It will swell up and pop if to close the main engine heat .. The Gauge is from MRE and fits nice and tight in the stem nut , so it doesn't move around .. I put one wrap of electrical tape around the nut that holds the air line to the gauge and that gives the gauge a snug fit into the stem nut ..

??? Why would i want the bottle upside down ?? All i have to do to remove it is twist the thumb screw and the bottle comes right out ..

Well you are wrong .. You can tell from the picture , it's full 7 inches before it's hit the undertail ... The bottle also had tons of ground clearence.. Now maybe just maybe if you put a 1200 pound dumbo on the bike it might hit the undertail ...

Look at this picture and you can see the bottle leans back giving it pleanty of room for the rear of the bike to come down and hit nothing ..
