Best full exhaust for 2012 14r

I was just wondering what the best aftermarket full exhaust system available for the new 14r is (numbers wise)? I am partial to Brocks but which of his systems would be best for HP and TQ gains? Thanks.

+1 Brock's CT... I bought the Brock's due to his history with map support, quality and 35LBS weight savings.....

Thanks guys. That's what I was leaning towards. I've heard great things about his maps for his pipes. That's a major plus. I need to get the noob tubes off asap! lol

I have been using Brocks pipes for 10 years and have found none better. The ct single is a little quite for me. I have the ct meg and its a screamer.

I am also using the CT Meg:

It has a very aggressive sound, and weighs 8.1 lbs complete. It also allows you to lose your peg hanger, if you wish, for more weight savings. Here is what Brock says about the CT Meg and CT Single Power output:

quote:
The CT Single and Meg make about the same peak power (within 1-2 hp) with a slight edge going to the Meg, while the CT Single enjoys an advantage in midrange power and torque.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. It is more of a sound/looks choice, imo. In my case, I wanted to try the shorter pipe because I have extended revs and a shorter pipe can sometimes benefit power on the very top. You often see the shorter pipes used in Land Speed Racing. Plus, I really like the looks.

We have a CT Single on Racheal's Gen 1, and maybe sometime I will be able to compare the two back-to-back on my 14R, on my local dyno. I would like to see the difference above 11k rpm.

Shane

i like the brocks pipes i have the street megaphone and it works great and is holding up well after over 5 years on the bike, its light and more affordable than the titanium. if price is no object go for one of the brock ct pipes depending on you preference of length. as far as power hold on the new alien2 may be the king.

You will love the CT!

I haven't been able to do any more ECU testing yet, I'm afraid. I will definitely report back when I do!

Thanks Drew and Shane I will def post some pics once the exhaust is installed. I want to get the ECU flashed (once I see some more results) and a PCV when they are available throw it on a DYNO with a custom tune and I will be one happy man. Hopefully I will be able to eclipse the 200 rwhp barrier!!!

Just put the CT Single on my ZX14R. Couldn't wipe the smile off of my face when I first fired it up. If I had to live in a large city and commute daily, id put in the silencer plug. But luckily, I live in the country and LOVE IT!

The stock pipes must be pretty good as well. A friend of mine bought a 14R today and took it to Wes Brown and broke it in on the dyno per Motoman http://mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm After break in they made 3 pulls 197-198-201 corrected! Not bad for 15 miles on the ODO and stock pipes.

With Smokins latest track excurssions.... I may have to rethink which is the best exhaust...
He ran a best of 8:55, no tune on a 66in WB bike.... I think the AH2 is going to be the best bang for the buck... waiting to see the dyno numbers.
