We had to dodge water puddles the size of small lakes just to get into the place.

sub throttle .. Flies ) Sub throttle shaft was just about frozen in place ..Could not move the shaft by hand.

Ya think maybe because you have TRE plugged in, that ECU is (thinking it is in 6th) is telling Servo motor on sub-flies to Open ??

Fellas,

Lee is having some ECU, I have raced my zx10 and no issues. Once he get that resolved his bike will run some mid to low 50's at it's current WB.

Just think he is running the smaller exhaust pipe and not a CT.

No he's not, even though the type of pipe on the bike would of made little or no difference last night.

Nope. Testing another pipe. I hope he can get all the bugs worked out and get to putting down some really solid numbers by next week. Truthfully we were just happy to see the low 5.60's and the 5.59 last night. With all the problems he was aggrivated and not on his top game.

looks good lee, if you listen close when it crosses the line. You can hear the engine RPMs go up, sounds like it was spinning When it crosses the finish line.

No ... I think i bent the shaft when i removed and reinstalled them ( flies ) .The shaft is very soft and seems easy to bend ... I had to take apart the TBs today ( big pain in the ass ) and get the shaft unfrozen ..Took a lot of work but i got the shaft working nice and smooth now ..No more code 62 and the sub throttles are working as the should ..

Glad to hear your feeling better Lee. So you're still down 9 or 10 pounds, guess that's just 9 or 10 pounds the bike doesn't have to haul right

The set up ...64 inch wheel base , Brocks pipe , 16/41 gears , air shifted 10800 Shift point ..
Pump gas 89 octane .. Air filter in place , No P/C , No tune ..

The Air , 69 Deg , 86 % humdity , DA right at 800 feet .. Track hooking fine ,dew covered bike .. Very wet ..

Problems ..Many problems ...Needs lower gears ( bogging ) weak 60 footer ( low to mid 1,40s ) Best 60 footer was 1.41 .. Engine warning lights , EFI , TC lites flashing , codes popping up .. Start up the bike to make a pass and before i had time to turn off the TC controll EFI lights up and pops Code 62 ( sub throttle .. Flies ) Sub throttle shaft was just about frozen in place ..Could not move the shaft by hand .. Power mode and TC lights flashing every run ..

The good ( i guess ) Out of a few runs that i got i ran the best of 5.59 @ 127.51 with a crappy 1.41 60 footer , My 60s on my 09 zx14 were in the mid to low 1.30s .. My very best on my old zx14 was 1.31 at 67 inch wheel base .. This bike flat hauls ass even with a not so great 60 foot time ..

Things i need to chance and repair , lower gears , lower the bike more in the rear .. Remove some kill time for the air shifter .. Find out what's wrong with my bike tossing codes and what's up with the TC controlls .. Find out what has my shaft for the flies stuck in place .. Needs more spring pressure for the clutch .. To soft to get a good clutch feel ..

I can tell you right now with a low 1.30 60 footer this bike is GOING to run 5.40s in the 1/8 easy ... The 127.50 MPH I think when all the problems have been fixed it will run 128 , 129 MPH...

I noticed that Beast Belching fire on the line, must be a Dragon , only seen this on NASCAR, they said it was unburnt, Raw Fuel in Exhaust pipe, hot , pipe igniting, Is yours running that rich ???

Recon that is where name Drag Racing came from, " 2 flame belching Dragon's racing down the quarter-mile ??" Just dawn on me ...dumb, huh

It started that back firing and farting when the sub throttle shaft stopped working ... Wasn't doing that before the codes popped up and dash lights when crazy .. When it pops a code like that the ECU goes into defalt mode or kind of limp mode ... Fuel goes rich and it backs timming off .. That is what it said in the ZX-14 service Manual .. Now that i have it fixed it has not done that running it in my shop ..The bike is in a 10000 parts right now so i can't go drive it and test to know for sure .. But the bikes sounds 100% better now ..

Fuel goes rich and it backs timming off ..

Fuel goes rich and it backs timming off .. and it is in limp mode

Very Interesting,.... and it only running 5.59 @ 127.51,..... Very Interesting

Retarding timing helps the Big end,.... but hurts down Low, Bogging,....running rich loads up on bottom, Bogging,.... but helps lean condition up Top ....

What is it saying ????...... Did it keep it from spinning down low, ....but was spinning tire in the traps..... Moving the POWER around by accident...........Very interesting,
