Reloading maps
Probably a weird question, but is it needed to reload maps that have been stored for several years? I have had the Brocks track map loaded in my PCIII for at least 4 years now. Just wondering if it needs refreshing. Didn't know if it gets altered over time.

I checked mine from time to time since '06, it's always just as I left it, even after a dead battery.

i reload mine every 3 months.they can and will get corrupted. it`s just like you have to reboot a computer and reboot a cell phone by taking the battery out then reinstall it..they get confused sometimes.

Not only can the maps get corrupted, but it is also a good idea to plug it in and check the throttle positions sensor adjustment, that can be off quite a bit as well.

i have a dynojet lcd on board with all brocks maps. i reload regularly just to do it i'm sure it doesn't hurt. the lcd also shows the throttle position and fuel injector duty cycle continuously.

Haha, thanks for the info guys! Thinking I'll take the box out and check the map. As for the throttle position, I've never checked that. Does the map upload take care of that?

No, on the right side of the Power Commander program it will have the throttle position value. You will have to have your key on to check it. Just roll on the throttle and see if you see 100%, if you do you are good to go. If not you can just set it through the menu on top.
