World fastest production motorcycle
Been having a debate with JZX about why KHI built a 1441cc zx14r..
i told him it because no matter what bike is built the hayabusa will be known to the motorcycle buying general public as the fastest motorcycle ..

So true, everytime I see a show (Pass Time) of any kind that has a Hayabusa on it, they always say it the fastest motorcycle you can buy, it's going to take a lot for any other bike to change that and a lot of years.

i think the 'strange in english' name of "hayabusa" has go alot to do with it.. it has nothing to do with suzuki or any other brand.. you tell most people i have a suzuki gsxr1300, they don't get it but you tell them the hayabusa and they recognize it!!

wouldn't that apply to ninja's too.. since after all they eat fried hayabusa's
and its a gsx1300r

my BAD on gsx1300r.. no wonder no one understood me!! lol
ninja.. all kawaski sport models have that..so it won't set the zx14 or old zx12r apart from others!!
busa was unique name!! my 2000 hayabusa i changed the stickers to HOLYBUSA!!!

Lol this is all funny to me.. See I grew up in a kawasaki dealership. My grandfathers shop opened in 1966. I was born in 77 and lived and breathed the birth of the superbike wars in the early 80s, when "normal" people saw a bike with a fairing, it was automatically a Ninja no.matter what it really was. The Ninja name was synonymous with fairinged up superbikes of all kinds. I was at the dealermeetings when the new models were released back then in grand fashion. kawai would do huge musicals and spared no expence. The Busa thing will pass eventually. I remember when everybody thought the V max was the fastest accelerating motorcycle when a good rider on a Ninja 1000 and later the zx11 or a gsxr1100 would smoke one. I can't speak for everyone but my 06 would and did smoke several stock busas and the new 14 is only Going to make that even easier. The Busa thing will pass.
