Slip-on availability for the new 14
I'm assuming the mounting points/ gaskets, etc. will be slightly different for the new bike as well as cannister volume and shape to handle the increased flow ..
Any guesses on timeframes for the new stuff .. I'm particularly interested in the Brock slip-ons (dual) or Muzzy dual slip-ons .. I notice Brocks has some exhaust for the 14 listed as for 06 thru 12 models ..
Slip-ons will shed the weight of the stockers, add to the looks and sound, and I shouldnt have to worry about waiting forever for the new PC to come out ..
thanks for your thoughts

Guys on hete have been using complete so.how systems so far with no bad results. I a ordering one. I guess the new fuel system is compensateing enough. It's keeping them in the 13.0 range from what I'm seeing.

Yeah I'm still wanting to know:
1. If the 2008-2011 ZX-14 (gen2) slip-ons will fit the 2012 14R, and
2. how far away are the aftermarket slip-ons are for the 2012 ZX-14R
No definitive answers so far, but then again we still don't know when our Australian 14R's are even available, so me hoping for slip-on fitment information is probably futile.

Akrapovic has or will..very shortly have slip-on's for the 14R.
Given the additional displacement of the new bike, is it even worth trying to retrofit mufflers that will likely flow less than the OEM exhaust? Sound yes, but power could well be reduced..IF they even fit.
Good luck,
Leo

Those Akro slip ons have a different look with that double outlet, not sure if I like them or not.

Personally I don't like the new Akrapovic slip-ons for the 14R - they remind me of the mufflers from a Honda ST1100 !!!
I still love the looks that a pair of Yoshi TRC stainless/stainless slip-ons provide... but I'll have to wait until Yoshi release them for the 2012 14R of course!

2 Bros have them on their website.I was wondering if the 09 slipons would fit on the new bike. The part numbers are different.Maybe the midpipe is a different diameter.I still have my slipons packed in a box.

Two Bros is at least a couple of weeks away, as well. Probably more by the time they get made, shipped, received, and available.

I've seen them climb to well higher than that at low revs and that's at full throttle. I hear it will go notably higher at partial throttle. Yes?
