my Tie fighter came home today

I am not a star wars nerd, but a friend of mine said he thought the new 14 in black looks like something Darth Vader would ride, I agree, hence the tie fighter handle I have given it. It was a cold ass ride home as it was only 35 degrees in old st Louis today, but I was going to be damned if I waited all this time and let it sit at the dealership. This is the first and only 2012 in st Louis and I am happy as can be.

The ride home was cold, I had big gloves on, but a few things I got from my first ride...
The brakes are WAY WAY better than my 06. I have not ridden a non lowered 14 in a long time, but this bitch feels tall. I know the seat is different, I did have my work shoes on and not my standered shoes on, but it took ALL of my 28 inch inseam to stand this thing up ( yes I am a tad taller than a midget) 5'5".
The tires were new, fresh metzlers, so i was very careful today, but I did. 4th gear pull from 5-10 k and it is a fucking frieght train. I am waiting to say its faster than my sprocketed pc3 air cleaner 06, but I bet the farm it isn't slower.
I am dynoing this thing on Tuesday. I will vid and get pics then. Its going to be 50 plus degrees for the next few days so I will be getting some miles.on it.

If you want to get real technical, Darth Vader rode in a Tie Advanced X1 (aka Tie Avenger)..... no big deal....

I have a more appropriate name than Tie Fighter...Tire Fighter! 'Cause once the swing arm gets extended on this thing, fighting the rear tire will become its new favorite pastime! Lol.
